only the avatar, master of all four elements could stop them
but when the world needed him most, he vanished

im surprised no one else picked this but, i wuld control lightning and light...lightning as in thunder and lightning and light as in pure light, the opposite of darkness...Darkness and Light are two naturally opposing elements. it is possible to control both of them, but tu need an extreemly well balanced mind, but your powers wuld often be affected por your current emotions...so my answer is lightning and light
