I do not think Stelena stand in the way for our ship. Yes, Elena will always care about Stefan but it won't be any más than that. I think the only thing that could possibly ruin our endgame is if Elena o Damon dies in the finale, and if so, it's más likely to be Elena who dies than Damon. For example, DE could be so happy and in love, and then towards the end of the finale, she dies trying to protect Damon from something.
