Her declaration only underlined how happy Elena is with Damon, how deeply she is in amor with him, and that he does everything for her. Wouldn’t it be great if we realize through what Damon and Aaron tell that Damon was involved in the death of Aaron’s family and that Aaron wants to take revenge on Damon through Elena? And even better if it turned out in the end that Enzo was más responsible for killing Aaron’s family than Damon was? o perhaps, Aaron just turns out to be Elena’s half-brother, but anyway, Delena will share personal information with each other, work on their life and get through difficulties together. Although I can’t imagine what Damon kept to himself because he always talks about his bad deeds, even uses them to push people away, and he also has never been evil, just without emotions and humanity o overwhelmed por unbearable feelings. I think she's just feeling really guilty (completely understandable) so she praises him and tells him stuff that even she knows (on a subconscious level to some degree) are not true. It's like when she told him in 5x04 that he's the most compassionate person she's ever met, and in 5x02 she asked Silas (before she knew he was not Stefan) after he told her about Damon making Jeremy take care of Katherine and him supposedly arguing about it with Damon, in a "why do tu care so much about Jeremy?". I'm pretty sure she doesn't consider a close friend of hers (are we sure we can call him that? I also don't get how Damon's age is such an issue. What's important for the mostrar right now is to develop the relationship from Elena's side. At this point, I don't think anyone doubts Damon's amor for Elena. What people are wondering is why the universe decided to step in NOW instead of during that beautiful scene in 3x19. Heck, 1x19! What changed now? To play three characters that are so different from one another in one and the same mostrar must be quite the challenge and she owns all three of them. Yeah, having so many DGs is stupid and confusing (and keeps even más characters undeveloped), but I also agree that Nina Dobrev has great actuación skills and makes me see her roles as completely different persons. But I just have to say that I prefer how Ian Somerhalder so brilliantly portrays many different characters in one complicated, deep and complex character. Katherine drove the two brothers apart while Elena reunited them - despite their complicated situation. Defan had several nice scenes in the last seasons, but seeing Damon with Alaric o Jeremy and seeing Stefan with Lexie o Caroline, shows that something is missing in the relation of the Salvatore brothers. But they have some sort of relationship, and my problem is Stelena who have nothing REAL. I honestly like your last paragraph, and despite doubting that it would happen, I agree with your thoughts and ideas. Although that DG storyline is crappy, Silas is kind of funny and definitely much más entertaining than Stefan - who has for me only been interesting as the early badass Stefan and is restlessly destroyed as a character for me now (though I used to kind of like him when he wasn't with Elena, and though I see his past and understand his situation, but his character has thoroughly been ruined for a while now). hace más de un año

I really liked Stefan in seasons 1 & 2, but the way he treats Elena ruined his character for me. I don't want Paul to go, however. He's my favorito! actor on the mostrar (don't hate me...) and he has proven to be amazing at times. Perhaps, one of those who usually create those combined pics could make one with some of the many moments when Stefan just stood aside and let Elena walk into danger. This is again one of the things that are dicho to be true for Stefan while they are SHOWN to apply for Damon. Ugh polls. They are a pain in the ass. So here's a change of topic if anybody else needed one.

We all know that the quality of the mostrar as a whole is going down lately, but luckily, that has nothing to do with DE. None of the characters have been compromised, only good writing. It seems as though they've still got ideas for the series finale, but they're so confused about which direction to go in because they're trying to please all the shippers. Opinions?
