There are reports online of Nina Dobrev returning but not as Elena, a new character. This makes no logical sense (if it's true) which I don't believe it is. Getting Nina back will be great - however I do not want Katherine o another new character. I want Elena Gilbert! I want an epic Delena reunion! Just like everyone else, I hope with all my corazón that Nina does come back as Elena. If she came back as another character, it would be a major slap in the face, for DE fans. Elena means light, and all light is really gone in her absence. She is the one that holds the group together, and everybody drifts apart somehow during S7. Delena are the corazón and soul of the story, while the rest doesn’t work as actual storylines, with only moments of the corazón and soul in the story from time to time now. hace más de un año

Elena is kept as a part of the story, there is still Delena beauty and Damon is emotionally in a romantic sense exclusively dedicated to Elena, but the bad things are harder to oso, oso de without actual DE kisses, hugs etc. and only one-sided looks and emotions. All is so boring and unimportant now, and it is idiotic, ridiculous and unnecessary to mostrar what happens between Delena finally reaching their happy ending and them starting their happily-ever-after. The story has always led to Damon and Elena ending up together, it seemed as if everything was somehow about them, and they were at last brought to their shared happy future. And considering the dropping ratings and most of the comentarios and reports that I come across, we are por far not the only ones who see it like this. Everybody now only waits for DE to be reunited, begin their happy family life and have their perfect future together for good. hace más de un año

I watch the Damon moments because I can’t stay away from him, and now that I have seen the Damon scenes, I decided to watch the whole episodes in televisión to see everything for myself – and not be dependent on other people’s opinion – and to make sure that I haven’t missed anything for my Delena quote collection. The permanent “not Elena”-feeling makes me sad while the stupid rest doesn’t affect me at all, and I suggest for everyone who found a way to exist without continuing to watch to stick to the beautiful DE moments, statements and other things that are publicado in our club o even ask people who still watch for what tu need to see as a Delena fan. This is the writers’ chance to let Damon do almost everything without ruining his character (now that he sticks to his good corazón that Elena caused him to follow), although it should definitely concentrate on him being bad. I hope that he is possessed, evilly influenced o whatever in a way that only causes him to exclusively do things for the monster/ god/ creature from the vault. Perhaps, Damon and Enzo won’t do anything else than continue killing hundreds of people because the powerful evil being needs the corpses, the tons of blood o the ending of lives to restlessly return to this world, to stay in this world, to get someone/ something else to this world, to regain its full power, o something like that. hace más de un año

Just take comfort in not being alone in your fears and try to not freak out about anything that so far hasn’t aired. But I agree that we – even with our desired and needed end – don’t deserve to have to deal with all of that pain on the way there. Damon and Enzo being bad and working together though has potential as a story, especially when they are not responsible for their actions, and I truly want the story to focus on that part (although Delena beauty can probably only come from the others at the beginning of siguiente season). hace más de un año

It is not much released so far and too early for good speculations, but we should never forget that it is how Stefan described the situation to Elena at the end of S7 (after Damon saved Bonnie and with that also the others, did that in time to save Enzo’s life, kept Stefan out of the danger while doing all of that; and only got caught because his fear of losing Elena is más powerful than his logical senses) when Stefan wrote Elena that they would get Damon and Enzo back: Whatever happens between Damon getting possessed and the others getting him back, IT IS NOT HIS FAULT. hace más de un año

As for when we might see Dobrev as Elena again, Plec says she’s sticking with her original plan of having her return for the series finale — whenever that may be.

The people who come up with the doubts are usually the ones who don’t watch the mostrar anymore, while the ones who still follow the story are in general less afraid. I agree with your view of what goes on, and your post a while hace about not giving up showed that many share our hope, and I am confident enough to oso, oso de the other’s comments. I am not happy about the pessimism, but some people probably find our eternal optimism super-annoying, too. I can only suggest for everybody to stick to the good things, to stay away from those who ship against us, and to not think too much about what still hasn’t aired – but to concentrate instead on what is actually shown. hace más de un año

I'm afraid the writers are going to totally destroy Delena. Even though I don't watch TVD anymore, I did for years obviously, and I still get current TVD vids 'recommended' for me on YT. '7X19: Damon is jealous of Bonnie and Enzo'. Most of the comentarios are Bamon fans cheering now Bonnie is at the centre of the show, and whooping with joy over their ship, and that even though Damon still mentions Elena frequently, his mind is on Bon-Bon. Yes, Damon loves Elena, but she is gone, with no hint of her ever returning. Clearly, the Bonnie/Enzo pairing isn't a big enough ship. I wouldn't be at all surprised if Damon did end up with Bonnie at this rate. There have been many solid, logical arguments why Bamon can never become a reality, but none of those arguments ever took into account that Elena wouldn't be around. The mostrar is no longer about her. The mostrar is no longer about a amor triangle. The mostrar no longer features Elena and Bonnie's friendship/sisterhood. All of that is gone. And all media and most viewers are already for a very long while sure about Delena ending up together, and that shouldn’t be lost only because someone parted. When they knew that Nina would leave, the show-runners showed Elena’s inability to exist without Damon, proved them to get together again under all circumstances and led them to their happy-end, including a sort of wedding ceremony with vows and finishing their plans for their shared future, with only the end itself left open to still being shown. hace más de un año

We all know how judgmental Bonnie used to be, and that Elena has always been respectful and understanding towards everyone. Elena was of course and más than obvious the one who has cared for and understood Damon from the beginning, no matter what the others said, and the one who has never stopped loving him, through everything that they went through. If they do something like that, I hope that it will be like on “Emergency Room”, where Dr. Doug Ross left in 5x15 before he was again shortly seen at the end of 6x21 when Carol Hathaway also left and followed him with their twins. They made an appearance together in 15x19 (in the last season of that long show), and although we already got their happy ending when they were reunited, it was so great to even get a glimpse into their happily-ever-after when they were settled into their live together. I quit watching ER after S8, but I recorded that episode of the last season and went through the Carol and Doug scenes; and it was wonderful to see that. hace más de un año

I'm willing to bet that Kat knew S8 would be the last one. It's highly unlikely the producers made that decision after she announced she would be leaving. I hope Nina does come back, because if she doesn't, it won't be the same without her, and to be honest, I think the fans will come down hard on her if she doesn't. From what I hear, they are still determined not to say anything official about the show’s future, and the confirmation will probably wait until in a year. It would be stupid though to declare one’s departure for when the mostrar ends anyway, behaving as if it wouldn’t, although I wouldn’t rule that out. My deep desperation, suffering and depression have nothing to do with my still existing confidence in the end, and I have never dado up on Delena during all of what we had to endure. I take a look at the Damon scenes and follow what happens Damon-related and I watch the episodes that recently started airing in Germany (to make sure that I haven’t missed anything because I want a complete DE quote collection). And it is not entertaining and I don’t see actually developing storylines in all of that crap, but there is still much about Delena, and while all of the others are bent back and forth into couples, Damon exclusively sticks to Elena. hace más de un año

I'm happy about this but I'm not sure for how long. They could force Bamon in season 8. (that's the worst case scenario) however, it makes me think if Nina is coming back because Bonnie is the key to waking Elena. Will they kill her? The writers are bound to lose their focus and eventually they'll get to the stage where they have misceláneo stuff happen just to fill the gap left por DE, Elena and even the amor triangle, which was the core focus of the mostrar for so long. One of the most devistating scenes in the VD that I have seen, is that when elena has not long just become a newborn, and she is heartbroken and scared. she has no control over her thoughts, o feelings whatsoever. she is lost and confused, and más than anything, she needs the support of her "so called friends." And what do they do? They completely abandon her, leaving her in this terrible state. But – por the way – Stefan never had to face his faults o stand up for his bad deeds, while he always had everybody on his side and was even glorified por most people around him. Besides both of his parents, the friends and everyone else, there were also the girls, with Elena and Katherine being drawn to him because of the doppelganger bond, Rebekah being broken por her family and looking for affection, Valerie being connected to him over decades through their shared unborn-child-drama, and Caroline – the only one without reason – always having been the biggest Stefan-cheerer ever. And with everybody – except for when Delena’s true amor prevailed – always choosing Stefan, him always being supported, and him never having to make up for his mistakes, he got so broken that he can’t even behave in a normal way. hace más de un año

I hear that Nina and her boyfriend of 7 months, Austin Stowell, have división, split up. Something to do with their work schedules. I don't mean to sound like a broken record in saying this, but I think Ian wanted to get married, and Nikki just happened to be in the 'right' place at the 'right' time. I restlessly agree with both of you, and I have disliked Caroline from the start! I can live with this “not biological children/ supernatural spell/ weird relationship situation”-pregnancy, while a couple happily starting a family would be unbearable, after there has always been so much about Elena starting a family and so beautiful things about a possible Delena family in the end. I can’t stop imagining that Nina would have become pregnant and Candice would have wanted to leave, because it seems that the writers only react to things now (people leaving o being pregnant). I only partly follow the show, but I don’t see a real story; it is just about Elena’s absence and Jo’s and Alaric’s twins, mixed obligatorily with Damon’s insecurities, the relations of the character and the hunt after something supernatural. And in arts, I find it awful when the outside has influence on the inside, and when stories etc. can’t develop as they should and where they lead to. hace más de un año

It is a year-or-even-decade-long “bachelor party”. Others get the chance to heavily party, enjoy the end of being a bachelor and do things for the last time, before they get married and start their lives with their spouses. They watch strippers, drink heavily o whatever, but they shouldn’t cheat on their partners o do anything else to endanger their marriages. Damon can enjoy the rest of his vampire existence, spend time with his brother and others and find out what he wants except for Elena and their children. He can get rid of insecurities, learn that he deserves Elena and his happiness with her and realize that he will be a great husband and father. The mortals don’t expect to see Elena again, while all will be left por Delena after her return, so that Damon is the only one who didn’t lose anything with Elena. I managed to find a way to get through my days somehow, but I haven’t truly been happy in almost ten months now. I am in a weird “deep depression and lack of emotion at the same time state”, and I can never really escape my sadness and desperation. I function thanks to my Delena memories, our wonderful DE family and our worldwide support and never-stopping Delena successes (awards, polls, etc.). But I don’t know how to get out of this black hole, and I can’t mover on and stop worrying about the mostrar until Damon as the last remaining DE part will also leave. Plague has often been a bit funny towards DE fans in the past; I don't know if it's purely about Bamon and SE, even if I do think she prefers them. If I haven’t missed it (I don’t find all Damon scenes because I am not that into the search), that episode was the first without a Delena moment. After they already stopped the physical Elena-presence when her coffin was put seguro somewhere else, they at least had DE mentionings mixed into the Delena story elements, signs and parallels until now. I expected the already at the start of the season dropped ratings to get even lower with time when decisions were made after giving it a try, and I hoped for an even bigger difference with less DE. hace más de un año

Lots of different ways are possible, and I don’t care how Delena get their truly deserved endgame, even if we don’t get to see it, but their happily-ever-after is so desperately needed. I have often thought about already shooting the end of a story when a character leaves and hiding those scenes until the series finale, but I have never heard of that actually being done; so, although I would still like to read other people’s respuestas to your original question, I hope that tu don’t mind me responding to something slightly different. Because although I wouldn’t rule out unsuccessfully-job-searching actors to realize that it helps one’s career to mostrar gratefulness and respect for one’s former roles, bosses, colleagues, fans etc., I try to keep my hopes low. hace más de un año

But the interviews of the show-runners (from Damon being a fiercely loyal character and still being deeply in amor with Elena to not wanting Bamon romantically at all), the declarations of Elena being part of the final end and the story itself keep going in our direction. There are still DE parallels (from lying in coffins to throwing things through the crypt in absence of the other), story elements (from “right por her” to Lily’s descripción imitating what Elena means to Damon) etc. with beautiful amor declarations from time to time. And Bamon still mostrar no sign of romantic interest in each other (while Damon again proved his role as protector of everybody por wanting to return when Matt puts his life in danger, what nobody would consider his fault only for not being around). hace más de un año

I wouldn’t call it losing to reach the segundo place of I don’t know how many couples, ending up only slightly behind the first place, and having a huge distance to all of the other couples in the final round, while being the por far most voted for of all the romantic couples. hace más de un año

linkI hate Julie Plec but I don't agree with bullying someone. Telling a person they're fat is wrong. It is very hurtful. I am angered with the way she handled the end of season six and now season seven. I really wouldn't be concerned with the ratings for this show, since people are not watching the vampire diaries anymore. They are watching an AU fanfiction version a real but long dead show. We have nothing to be concerned about whatsoever. publicado hace más de un año

But if the ratings are reasonable, won't the producers think 'Obviously Nina's leaving and no DE aren't hurting the mostrar at all. Let's carry on'. Nina didn't mover on with an ex-boyfriend from Nikki Reed's life. Did tu read Ian's mind? tu can't assume that he would have wanted that. Even if he had, that would have been boring, watching an emotionless Damon without finding love. The fact is Damon has made mistakes but he found his true amor - Elena Gilbert who changed him. I believe that's what made the mostrar so popular. I shipped Delena from the very beginning, I have stopped watching because of Nina's departure. It’s true that she decided that. However I think she lied about the real reason why she left. Blaming Nikki makes a lot of sense and it isn’t ridiculous. tu can’t force your opinion o your like for her on me. I am entitled to be angry and hate her if I want, which I am. I actually liked her before this – due to Twilight. Now, I hate her because it is my belief that she destroyed Delena’s happy ending. In the episode 'Never let me go' there is a future scene, and it will mostrar Caroline as an engaged woman but here is what's interesting - not to Stefan and she doesn't even want to hear the name Stefan Salvatore again.
