Sorry, for my article for a lot of the princesses I don't have negative comments.

Especially for Mulan!! Plenty of you placed her below your top 5, please tell me why!! In fact only 2 people have her as their #1.

Really just Ariel, just in the way she talks to her dad. I just don't appreciate it. I may be biased though since I went through the whole "I'm 18 now so I'm an adult and can do whatever I want" phase. When Ariel thinks just cuz she's 16, she can do what she wants, it just reminds me of how much she has to learn. I just think she could treat her dad better and talk to him with respect.

Belle, I suppose. I don't appreciate her dismissing all of her neighbors, who have to go to work everyday, as "little people" and "poor provincial town." Belle reads books, sure, but she never gets up off of her butt. It's not until her dad gets captured that Belle does anything. Then after going in her father's place, Belle goes right back to whining about her circumstances, actively invades the beasts's private personal space against express warnings not to, and then passes off all of her bad choices as righteousness. I'll take Ariel's "I'm not a child anymore" statement, over Belle's blatant hypocrisy. Belle claims she has morals, but is unscrupulous.

I don't like Tiana for many of the same reasons that I don't like Belle. Tiana spends her time launching into self-righteous songs (Almost There) where she defends her own point of view by putting down others whom she claims "are taking the easy way." Tiana has almost no empathy when she is angry, and gives Ray a blistering put-down about his love life. Tiana works hard, but I just wish Tiana had a nicer personality. Unfortunately, her nitpicking just angers me to the point where I totally skip dealing with her.

Merida, I quasi-like. But again, this is because I vehemently disagree with how Merida orchestrated her own freedom. I don't think obtaining your own freedom should come at the cost of taking away someone else's free will. That's not a line I will ever cross. And that makes Merida kind of ruthless and short-sighted in my opinion.

Ok, here's everyone who's not in my top 5, and why:

6. Aurora - She lacks depth. Her character is exceptionally flat, and she is mostly in this spot on my list out of pure nostalgia.

7. Ariel - She makes a massive mistake in her film that literally has consequences for the entire world (Ursula would have controlled the entire ocean!!), but I don't feel like she grows from her experiences. She never really apologizes, and doesn't become more mature or learn from her mistake.

8. Pocahontas - Historical inaccuracies that offend an entire culture.

9. Jasmine - Unrealized potential. Her character is great for the first 15 minutes or so, and then falls flat. She talks the talk but doesn't walk the walk.

10. Snow White - She primarily revolves around the men in her life (spends all her time home-making for the dwarfs and waiting for her prince to sweep her off her feet), and she doesn't actively chase her dream.

11. Rapunzel - She's a Mary Sue who I feel obligated to like, which more than anything else makes me want to dislike her.

Also I'll say why Mulan just barely misses out on my top 3, but this isn't really anything I dislike about her per-say...

4. Mulan - I don't find her realistic or flawed enough. She is difficult to relate to.

Ariel. First, she's way too irresponsible. She just left the kingdom's dance for her hobby.

Second, I don't appreciate how the way she talks with her father. She against his order to going to human world with the reason, "I'm 16 years, I'm not a child anymore," Yes, you're not a child anymore, but a teenager isn't emotionally mature yet. Her father already told the reason, but she just don't care.

Third, She is way too self-centered, she never care what would her family and friends feelings. She's also being somehow mean to leave Sebastian in 'Under The Sea'.

Fourth, she is reckless enough to trust Ursula but not her closest one. How can she never though that Ursula is evil? And she never think the consequence she did if she's human. And she even don't read the contract that she signed. So I don't get how her decision is right, she just did it blindly.

Fifth, this is what bothers me so much about her. She never really apologize learn the lesson of her mistakes. She only said "I'm sorry Dad, I didn't mean to." Didn't mean to? Are you kidding me? You already sign the contract, and you even don't read it. Yes, you really mean to. Instead her father trying to let her go, and she still cares with her happiness. I find her to be most awfully written Princess.

My other least favorite princesses (well because my complaints for Ariel is way too long to read)

Tiana: I find that she only works hard, but not works smart. And I think she's somewhat being mean and judgemental.

Jasmine: At first she has a potential to be a good character, but after Aladdin/Prince Ali come, she seems flat and did nothing beside waiting for him.

uploaded900 picked Okay:
Ariel is pretty rude and stupid (like she didn't even attend the important performance in the beginning and went to Ursula even though she knew there was something wrong with her), Aurora is boring and one dimensional, Rapunzel is an unoriginal character and a purity sue, I like Moana, but like Rapunzel there really isn't anything that stands out to make her unique, and even with Belle who's my favorite, she's somewhat of a mary sue.

I know the article is already posted but still.
Princesses who are not in my TOP-5 and why:
Classics - they are all a bit boring to me. And I generally prefer heroines whose goal and dream is different from fiding true love.
Ariel - she is just not relatable.
Jasmine - I just don't care about her. I see nothing interesting about her.
Merida - has a quite cliched motivation and personality( she doesn't fit her society stanarts and wants to escape the arranged marriage) and I don't like the way she tried to solve her problems.

my below 5:
Aurora and Snow: i just cant relate to them. Aurora is too submissive for me and Snow is too good to be true most of times.
Poca: nothing negative really about her but just i like others way more
Ariel: mostly what maidoforleans said.
Jasmine: she could have been so much more. She just loses steam mid-way of the film. I would have really loved her if I could see her a bit more. I would really like to see her in her own movie.
Tiana: she's too much driven by her ambitions that she literally ignores imp relations in her life.
