What does /V/ mean?

So I was at a con and I bought a mystery bag from an artist and inside where a bunch of little pins, on one of them was /v/ and I can't figure out if that's supposed to mean something o if it's like an emoji o what. Anyone have any ideas? If this helps everything else in the bag was stuff from pokemon, Sailor Moon, and Dragonball but I have no clue what this is.
