Friend o foe?

..I cry, she gets mad and tells me to stop begging for attention and feeling sorry for myself.
I mostrar anger o dissatisfaction, she calls me a hysterical mess.
I tell her I have horrible self-esteem issues and that I want to see my therapist again in order to improve/get better, she responds por saying I'm too dependent. Then she compares me to herself. Me, a 15 año old kid, to herself, a 51 año old woman.
When I eventually see my therapist, he says there's no such thing as "self-esteem" and that I'm making all my problems up. She sides with him.

I'm very confused as to why my mother isn't supporting me. I'm not a bad kid. Though sometimes I do feel ashamed of myself for feeling this way and wonder if I'm as weak as she tells me I am. If I'm just a spoiled, whiny brat.

Is there anything that I can say/do??

Get a different therapist if that's what tu want and go to your friends. My parents were never understanding either and I hated therapy (but tu should definitely go if it helps you) so I found comfort in friends and music. If música doesn't mean as much to tu as it means to me, stick with the friends thing, don't worry about your mom, if she's not being understanding don't waste your time. It may be hard to talk to your friends at first especially if tu haven't been friends on that level before but tu might be surprised how much they care and how much they can help you. I'd be absolutely lost without my friends and we've gotten each other through so many bad times. It means the world to me that I have them supporting me, and I like to know I'm supporting them as well. tu could really find some help with them.

Having problems isn't anything to be ashamed of though, okay? It doesn't mean you're weak, it just means life's thrown some curveballs to tu and tu need ways to cope. Chin up, you'll be okay. <3

A friend. But still that is being pretty harsh on you. they try to help tu i think, but obviously that just does nothing. they have to see that being mean will do nothing...

Your friend.
A friend is the person that tells tu what tu don't want to hear. She is not your enemy, she just wants to help you. The things that she is saying to tu are to encourage you.
