Author's note: Don't get your hopes up, people. I hardly ever carry on with my fanfictions, after starting them. I know, I know... it's despicable... Oh well. XD. Also, the el espacio squid dialogue has been translated (roughly) from squidese, o whatever, to English. Also, this is written from the el espacio squid's point of view. Oh! And it's set quite a few years into the future. Also, it might be a BIT of a spoiler, if tu haven't seen The Trouble with Jiggles, not to mention confusing. Wow... long note. XD

It was a few years back, when I asked my father where the gubes came from. He told me the story...
'It was very sudden. A contraption came to our planet from the other planet. It opened of it's own accord and all the gubes came out. There were so many of them, they couldn't be counted. We couldn't think of anything to do with so many of them... They didn't appear to have a use. But we'd seen creatures on the other planet claim smaller creatures and take care of them. So that's what we did, too. Now, they're so popular, there are very few families without one... o más than one.'
It took a lot of convincing for me to believe the story was true. I couldn't quite get my head round the fact that my gube, blah-bloog-bloog, had come from the other planet. It suited this planet so much. I wasn't looking adelante, hacia adelante to going to the other planet, when I was older... I'd heard the tales... The metal creature our kind had to lock in the prison... and it wasn't just the tales that put me off going there. It was the fact I had to try and invade it, o steal things from it. I was terrible at doing both of those things... my parents told me I'd learn, but I doubted that was true. I didn't know why we had to invade and/or steal useful items from that planet. If I didn't have to obey the law, I'd just want to explore (carefully, of course) and study the alien creatures and have fun. But, of course, if I broke the law, I'd have been banished... sent through the nearest black hole... to the Barren Lands. Creatures from the other planet would disintegrate, if they were to go through a black hole, but not us space-squids. We were not so lucky. We had to face the world on the other side. The Barren Lands.

A few years later...

I was finally old enough to go to the other planet. I would, of course, be supervised por my parents, because it was my first visit. The idea of going there still hadn't grown on me. I had barely improved my skills at stealth, thieving and sending ripe-for-invasion messages back to our planet. I was really worried about being seen por the elongated creatures, who, I was told, were the most dangerous things in the universe. And the universe is one big place. My mother reassured me, slightly, por telling me that there had been many many el espacio squids in the past who had had my lack of skills - some were even worse than me - and they had all succeeded in not being seen por the elongated creatures. Some had even succeeded in stealing a thing, o two.
Hexter struggled violently against the net. If he didn't get the water out his lugs soon, he would die and he knew it. Hexter lashed one way to the next. The net got caught into his mouth, cutting into the roof of his mouth. I'm gonna die. he thought gloomily as he gasped for air. So far, he had only succeeded in tangling his right flipper tighter in the netting. Hexter struggled again for one last time and was still.

Dexter was happy. He thought he had killed Hexter, and now his troubles were over. No más prankster. The perfect paradise. As he swam home, he realized that his parents would...

Private looked at his feet. "How long did Skippa say to stand out here?" He asked dully. Rico shrugged. "Dunno," Kowalski remembered. "Until he gave the call," Private looked up and stared and the entrance hatch and looked back down. "What do tu suppose they are doing down there?" Kowalski and Rico shrugged.

Pluma sat down and took a deep breath. Skipper looked at her. "Well, go on. It could NOT be that bad!" Pluma licked her beak nervously. "I'm REALLY bad at it," She explained. Skipper reached out and took her flipper. "It's okay," He said. Pluma smiled faintly. "Okay then,"

"I forgot the...

"Skipper!" It was Private's turn to watch the monitors for any suspicious behavior, and the pingüino, pingüino de was currently staring at one of the screens. "He's done it again!"

"What is it, Private?" dicho Skipper, clearly annoyed. "We were playing a game of cards!"

The leader had some cards in his flippers. The rest of the penguins came out. Kowalski cleared his throat. "Actually, I'm kind...
