Liberty was deep into a painting when it happened. She loved painting. It help soothe her when things went wrong. She loved the gentle strokes of her brush as her masterpeices took form. Today a radiant image of the African plain glowed before her. She was almost done. The last thing to do was the sky. Suddenly she heard a familiar voice, "Am I interrupting something?"
Liberty gasped, looking around, her amber eyes darting to the entrance of her cave. A streak of sky blue slashed across the african plain. She looked back in dismay. Her homeland was ruined. She turned to see who'd been the cause and found herself face to face with-
"Skipper!" she exclaimed, "Shouldn't tu be out dating your little nutria girl?"
Skipper sighed and shuffled his feet, "Yeah, about that.." he began, "I'm sorry..I didn't know tu liked me-"
"-Ah, here we go again!" Liberty interrupted, "Five times now! You've come in here begging on your flippers and knees..er, if tu have them..-but you've been pathetically pleading for mercy! Mercy I WON'T give!"
Skipper sighed again, "Fine," he waddled for the door, "I just want tu to know, " he said, standing in the doorway so that he was a near-sillouette, casting a long shadow across the stnoy floor, "I want the key to unlocking your little door. If you'll let me in..I..-I promise I won't break your corazón again."
Liberty shook her head, "The nutria will be dissapointed, besides..I can't trust you."
Skipper nodded, "Well, I guess I can understand that. Liberty, no matter what tu think of me, -I amor you."
Liberty watched him leave, it was the hardest thing she'd ever done to let him go.
