Even though Ariel is more childlike than Belle they are both bright, sure of themselves and they both want more than the life they started with.

they both have evil stepmothers who force them to clean and where ugly clothes but it doesn't spoil there unselfish attitudes

They are so alike ,for instance

1.She has red hair ,Ariel has red hair yet its slightly darker to Giselle's which is light.

2. There love interests have black hair and blue eyes.

3. They become human (Ariel is still animated while Giselle is fleah and all)

4. They are optimistic when it comes to love and happiness.

As well as this she is also like Snow White/Cinderella but Giselle is just a tributed Princess.
