Why do people hate Aurora so much?

I agree with what a lot of the users are saying. I think hating on her is ridiculous. I think the classic princesses get too much hate in general. Aurora doesn't have a lot of character but her purpose in the story is to sleep so I don't know what people expect. People forget the film has 3 heroic fairy godmothers. They're the ones that save the day. All Phillip really did was throw a sword through Maleficent's body (with the help of the fairies) & kiss Aurora, the hadas pretty much did everything else. I actually like how Sleeping Beauty focuses on the fairies, it helps it stand out from Snow White & Cinderella.

I think she doesn't deserve the hate at all. Although people think she does not have a personality, I think they don't look much into her personality because of her 18 minutos of screen time but if tu actually try to understand her you'll find out that she's shy, sensitive, kinda introverted and very friendly. She also cant fight o control the curse

I don't hate her, I think peoples hate her because she is the "wrong" protagoinst. Technically she's a protagonist but she just doesn't have enough role (cause she's sleeping all time). Besides that, she also doesn't have much personality. (Opinion)

my self don't hate her,but she seems haven't personality and the only she does is just stay beautiful,pretty boring specially compared to the hadas and Maleficent , she is easily the least interesting of all the princess.
And she still having all the atetion when she doesn't nothing ,sure she had to sleep to be rescued but tu get it

When compared to the screen time that other princesses get, we realize that Aurora actually doesn't have significantly less than all of the others. I think jazmín might even have slightly less? She needs a man to save her because she is straight and the spell requires the kiss of true love.
Personally, I think Aurora exemplifies inner strength and the ability to remain graceful, dutiful, respectful and self-controlled. She understands sacrifice and commitment better than most of the other princesses. She is also a perfect woman. She is beautiful, has a ballerina body and has long and lustrous hair. She has a perfect demeanor that is peaceful and positive. She is well-mannered and holds very respectable morals. She respects boundaries, she has a sense of humor and she is very caring.
I think some people just don't like that kind of perfection. Perhaps they think it is fake o unattainable, o perhaps they just don't like the way it makes them reflect on themselves? Personally I don't understand it myself. Like you, I adore Aurora and think she's great. In fact, I see her as one of the best role modelos in the line up.

Initially, I don't think audiences hate her as much as find her not really the protagonist of the film. I don't consider her a poor character for "sleeping" during most of the film. The film follows the actual story, for crying out loud! (And it is a very well done film, if tu ask me).

I guess people just forget about Aurora, compared to Elsa, Anna, Tiana, and the Moderns who get oodles and oodles of attention ( some of which they do not deserve in my opinion).

Also, tu can thank the Feminazis for spewing venom and discrediting about 99% of the whole disney Princess lineup as heroines, while praising ONLY the Moderns. The takeaway message here is to amor what tu love...and just stop listening to other people's harsh critiques.

I think people dislike her because she doesn't appear much in her movie (gets very little screen time when compared to the other characters). And even when she appears she's either silent o asleep o a baby. The few minutos we know of her are too few for some people to get an opinion out of her. And, think some people like Doug Walker who only like "strong female characters" and "women who do shit". Aurora doesn't have an active role in her story, which may be why some people dislike her.

I'll admit, she is pretty low on my list, but I don't hate her. But she's low because I didn't get to know her, really. I don't think it's that people hate her, it's because when compared to other princesses she is the least dynamic, which isn't really her fault, as tu said.

Because she is beautiful and we're all the ugly stepsisters.

I'll tell tu WHY this perra gets hated. If she wasn't such a Mary Sue and had a real personality then maybe she wouldn't be hated so much. Real women have flaws, insecurities and virtues all rolled in one. Real women don't have "perfect" bodies and nor do they do nothing and wait around for princes to rescue them. End of story. God the way Aurora walks around as if she's some goddess and the rest of us underlings cannot measure up to her. That's NOT what real women do. If it's not Barbie, it's the AURORA bitch. Both of these give young girls severely low self-esteem when they mature into young women. I don't advise young girls to watch Sleeping Beauty any más than I advise them to play with Barbies.

What's the need of Aurora anyway?? We have far más empowering role modelos among classical princesses like the diligent cenicienta and bookish Belle who are both strong, independent and hardworking. cenicienta still had a prince but at least she's working her culo off doing EVERYTHING in the house and her stepmother and sisters give her a ton of BS. This shows young girls that hard work ALWAYS pay off in the end no matter how tough the world tries to get tu down. cenicienta is a far más empowering role model--so is Belle, taking these things into her own hands to rescue her father and then the Beast from an evil spell.


Modern día princesses like Rapunzel, Anna, and Merida are FAR más empowering for young girls.

I Aurora really cool. Now she is definitely not one of my fav but I do have to admit she does have good style for her decade. I think people are just so used to modern día princesses that sometimes that cast older one aside.

Since I was little, I was in amor with this princess. But when I found out people hate her, I got very sad and got in a lot of arguments about her then, when I found this I agreed. So please stop hating her. Get a life and do something fun with it.
