Why is cenicienta the most popular disney princess and not Snow White (who actaully has a estrella on the hollywood walk of fame), Belle, and Ariel?

cenicienta is the most popular because she's the most iconic. EVERYBODY knows her story because it may be the most popular fairytale of ALL TIME. Every country and culture has their own version of Cinderella. As the person above me said, Walt's favorito! princess was Cinderella. That may have played a part in her popularity. Cinderella's story is simply the epitome of disney magic. It's just such an iconic fairytale.

I think that cenicienta is the most popular at the disney parks and stores because Walt himself liked her movie the best. o at least that's what I think.

As an adult, now my favorito! disney princess film is The Little Mermaid, yet my fave disney princess is Belle. Yet growing up I really really enjoyed the movie Cinderella. I can't explain it, there was just a magic to that movie that captivated me as a child. Not entirely sure what it was, but I saw Snow White growing up many times also and i found the movie semi-boring. It didn't keep my attention like Cinderella. And also it goes to say as a child my fave disney princess was Cinderella. I remember wishing I looked like her. So even though cenicienta isn't my fave anymore-as a child her and her movie captivated me.

I think it has to do with the fact that cenicienta as a fairy tale is probably más popular and the disney adaptation ended up being so refreshing and inspiring because she was actually a heroine of her own story while Snow was a little supressed and pushed to the background por her little friends that ended up being más well developed characters than her, but that's just my personal opinion and my reasoning.

cenicienta is the most popular because everyone knows her story, and they like it. As the other fans said, it was Walt Disney's favorito! princess. Even he dicho that his favorito! animación was when cenicienta dress is change to the beautiful silver dress. We amor her nice personality and that she never give up in believing that her dreams would come true ( That relates from Walt disney believe). She is my favorito! disney Princess for her personality and almost all her fans agree with me in that. The other princesses have a great personality, but not compare to Cinderella. Thats why she is the leader of the disney Princesses

well cenicienta is my favorito! but she is not that popular, but she is the best for me because her story is classic and lovely but belle is 2nd and ariel is third snowWhite is 6th in my opinion and tu would be surprised how many people don't like cenicienta because she is so popular, and actually since 1950 (when cenicienta was released) she has been the most popular ever since, idk why i even like her its just something about her, but if tu ask most people on fanpop who there favorito! disney princess chances are they wont say Cinderella, plus the other princesses tu mention still have high rankings

When tu say "most popular," do tu mean as in the most amount of people lista her as their favorite, o most prominently featured in merchandising?

On the former, I'm almost positive that cenicienta is not the most popular (or beloved) princess. Ask around anywhere tu go on the calle o on the internet, and odds are most people will say their favorito! is Ariel (whom I detest), Belle, o Mulan.

As for why she's featured most prominently in the merchandizing, I have to agree with magicfairydust (the first poster) and say she's the most iconic. She has the most iconic look, story, personality, etc. Everything about her embodies what we know about disney magic, dreams, wishes, fairy tales, princesses, etc. While Snow White technically started it all and was the most beloved in her day... I don't know. There's something about cenicienta that has become the walking embodiment of what we know as disney Princesses.

Just include magic there is no poisoning thing o something deadly like other disney princesses but if you're going to ask me for me my most fav is Snow white than Cinderella,Cinderella is my fourth fav disney princess
