Is there any good anime for 12 año old girls?

One day, I have a sister who has a twelve año old friend. I invited her over my house for a party. We had a talk about what anime we watch and then she asked me what are some good anime for her.

She loves Fruits Basket and just got done watching Azumanga Daioh. However, she dislikes Nausicaa of the valley of the wind and says she probably doesn’t like anime about Princes and Princesses.

So is there any anime that are like Fruits Basket and not about Princes and Princesses?
