I do think he should repent but I don't think he should necessarily be punished.

well, I don't mean like killed or anything (though Rapunzel's parents sure seemed to disagree) but community service, working to pay back people he stole from, even a little jail time. that kind of thing.

I wouldn't say he should be punished, but I think he should compensate the people he stole from and apologize to them.

I think he should have been punished.

It's hard to judge because
1. We don't know what exactly he did aside from stealing the crown.
2. We don't know if he repented or not because we don't know what exactly he did when he reverted back to Eugene.

I always imagined he did community service. Like having to take down all his wanted posters, and helping out the people he robbed from. And had to repent for his crimes. I agree with Swanpride though, we don't know exactly what he did so it's hard to judge.

Nothing as drastic like executing him, but some way for him to pay back to the community in some way. At the end of the movie, it would have been difficult to perhaps show Flynn as apologetic, but they could have had a brief scene of him maybe going around the Kingdom with Rapunzel, helping the poor and needy, or helping out at an orphanage, given that he should be able to empathize. I just never liked that he got away completely scot-free. The guy was a criminal, and not a criminal in the sense that he did it out of necessity, he was just a jerk, who rationalized his actions because he was poor and wanted more, even if that meant taking from other good people.
