Her fingers moved. Her body was waking. Her mind was still fogged up but she could still think. Things had been undetected. Her mind had stopped working for who knows how long. She tried to open her eyes and stretch her body. But she was still chained. And the needles were still numbing her senses. She had no idea how she was doing this. But she guessed it was because her soul had matured while put in another. Her soul that had not come back yet. Soon. She told herself. She was feeling cramped and trapped. Not a smart idea for whoever had put her in here. She smiled underneath the casco and could feel her body begin to work again. When she was free nothing would keep her down. Jade had dado her everything she needed to find her love. Now she just needed to be free of this cage. Her smile turned to a smirk. Not long now...
Rylan felt the loss first. She looked up from where she had been sitting in the cool darkness. She got up quickly and ran into the mountain. She entered her room where Robin was holding Jade's lifeless body. Blood was staining the floor and a gun sat not too far away.
“Robin.”
“I-I didn't do this!”
“I know. Jade did. There is nothing to cry over.”
“Nothing to cry over?! Jade's dead!”
“Not really. Robin...I am now able to tell tu what I wanted to tell tu earlier. Jade was found dead in the streets. At the age of four.”
“W-what?”
“Her parents had abandoned her and left her in the streets. The Light found her and put her in the Lazarus pits. Her soul came back. But it never grew with her age. So they brought in another girl. Someone who never deserved to be there.”
“Becca?”
“Mhmm. Becca was striped of her soul and mixed with Jade's. They have bonded and been able to speak to each other. I could tell from the very beginning that some of Becca's essence must have been taken into Jade as well. Becca dicho she knew you. Jade fell in amor with you. They were two separate people who had been forced into one body. Do not cry. Jade never should have lived this long. Never should have lived past four.”
“But...she was just forced into it.”
“No. Not really. When the Light found Becca, Jade followed them into Becca's cell. She saw what they did to her. Had she not been caught, Jade never would have had Becca's soul. I wold have been adapted to Becca's DNA.”
“But what would have happened to Becca?”
“If I had gotten her DNA? They would have killed her. In a way, Jade saved two lives. Hers and Becca's.”
“But now Jade's dead.”
“Where she should have been. Do tu understand Robin?”
“I think so.”
“Jade never deserved it but we can not change what has been done.”
“What about Becca?”
“I can not answer that. I don't have any solution to give.”

Dick’s POV:
He let a small laugh escape through his mouth. He knew it was Artemis and maybe she knew he was Robin. But it was a tiny chance he looked at her, standing in the crowd talking to Rachel a senior year. He smiled. Artemis was in good hands.
Artemis POV:
“Thanks” She putted the papers in her bag. “tomorrow a need them back so don’t forget them.” “Got it.” Artemis answered. Rachel started to talk “Well, let’s start then, We are now in the hall of the Gotham academy.” Artemis looked around, everybody was to their lessons except a few. The hall itself was made of grey, silvery stone. The muro reflected the blue sky and she thought of the strange boy. “Are tu coming o not?” Rachel stood in the giant stanchion. “I’m coming.” As she walked to Rachel remembering the mysterious laugh.
