I made a chair of darkness for Cheshire. She sat down and she was lashed in.
“Cheshire, why do tu want to destroy the Justice League?” I demanded
“I’m just following orders” she smirked. I got ready to call Thanatos. Cat stopped me.
“I’ll take care of this” She smiled “Cheshire, I’m not sure how much longer I can control her. It’s either tu talk to us, o Death. tu pick” she looked over at Thanatos, who was flying around near some trees
“Your little pet doesn’t scare me and neither do you” Cheshire huffed
“I have an idea” I grabbed Cheshire and flew to the parte superior, arriba of a building. I held her out, por one leg.
“I’ll make tu a deal. tu tell me what we want to know, and Thanatos doesn’t get to accompany tu to the Underworld.” I offered
“You’re bluffing” I heard the fear in her voice.
“My arm is getting tired” I loosened my grip. She slipped a bit.
“You’re no Batman” she growled
“You’re right. I’m not Batman. He wouldn’t drop you. I will” I growled.
“Yeah right” she rolled her eyes. I let go. She screamed as she fell. I flew under her and caught her.
“Next time, I won’t catch you” I growled in her ear.
“What do tu want to know?” she asked
“Why did tu plant a bomb against the Justice League?” I demanded
“I was hired” she replied
“No duh. But por who?” I asked
“He’s right behind you” she smiled. I turned, falling for the oldest trick in the book. She jumped away. I flew after her. She threw a small ball at me. It exploded in my face and I crashed to the ground. Robin rushed over to me.
“Are tu okay?” he asked
“Only my pride is a bit bruised” I got up. I flew up high. No sign of her.
“She’s gone?” Robin asked
“Yeah. I’m sorry.” I let my hair cover my face.
“It’s okay. It’s not your fault” he tried to make me feel better. It didn’t work. Kalder walked up to us.
“Where’s Cheshire?” he asked
“She got away. I almost had her” I looked away
“It’s not your fault” Kalder said
“Let’s go. The Justice League should be here soon” I said, walking back to the bio ship. Thanatos flew beside me. Talk about being in the shadow of death. I heard something behind me. I spun around to find Cat running to catch up.
“Hey, I heard what happened, and it’s not your fault. Cheshire is sneaky” she tried to comfort me. I was in no mood for comforting. I kept walking.

The assassin turned his head slightly before tossing a cuchillo in Revenge's direction. It caught him in the chink in his armor. Literally. Revenge glared at the blood seeping from the wound. The black clad assassin continued his approach. Revenge punched him in the throat, crushing his windpipe, causing the man to stumble backwards.

"You wanna play with knives?" Revenge yelled. "Two can play at that game!"

For a second, the assassin couldn't breathe. Then, he stood up, rubbing his neck.

"No way." Revenge muttered, stepping back.
