Hello, everyone. Been awhile since I did a proper count down. Guess I needed a bit of a break. Well, now that I’m back, I guess I should do a rather bigger version of an older list. Well, kinda bigger. Definitely más words, but not as much entries. That lista being my parte superior, arriba 100 video games. Now, I can’t do a whole parte superior, arriba 100 list, since the fanpop articulo can only hold so many words, so I will just have to do a parte superior, arriba 10, while mentioning the other games as well. So, let’s get started. Also, my opinion on games may have changed since the last parte superior, arriba 100 of this list, so it may not be as big as before. With that said, let’s get this lista started.
#10: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
This was a game that I only got four months hace during my birthday when my older brother brought for me. But, OH BOY, I can tell you, I haven’t been able to stop playing it for those past four months, and I still have a lot to explore. I know this game has been out for a LONG while and that the remastered version is already out, but I still really loved this game so much. The massive world of Skyrim, and the many different people tu can meet and many monsters and enemies to fight is just incredible. And with so much content and so much land to explore and so much sidequests to complete, it’s hard not to finish this game, even within four months. Heck, I doubt I’m even at the halfway point of this game it’s so big, and that just makes me even happier. I had already played Morrowind a few years back, and that game was good, but Skyrim was just so much better, that it’s hard to compare the two gameplay-wise. And if tu are like me, and tu have an awesome older brother, tu were able to get the game that had the DLC along with the game, so I got to play the Dragonborn DLC, allowing me to explore parts of Morrowind again. There was also the Dawnguard DLC, which allowed me to get new weapons and fight vampires. And the Hearthfire DLC, allowing me to create a house… Not as epic as the other two, but still fun. If you’re a fan of western RPGs, you’ve… probably played this game LONG before me, but for those who haven’t, tu should. It’s truly worth every penny.
#9: Silent colina 2: Restless Dreams
I have been told time and time and time again that Silent colina 2 is one of the best, if not the best horror game ever made. And they were right. Now, I never played the original PS2 version, so I got the Xbox version, known as Silent colina 2: Restless Dreams. It was the same game, but with enhanced graphics and gameplay, and had a special mode where tu could play as Mariah, which I found to be pretty cool. The game follows James Sunderland, a depressed man who comes to Silent colina after receiving a letter from his dead wife, and here, he meets all sorts of scary monsters and super creeps… (Yep, still using all those references). The game manages to be a very creepy and disturbing game without mindless violence o unnecessary jumpscares. It uses cares that disturb the player rather than jump scare them, and I amor that about Silent Hill. And the characters tu meet are all amazing. None are just black and white. They are all regular people that mostrar kindness, but also mostrar selfishness. Even James acts a bit selfish at times. And this game has one of the biggest plot twists to ever be in a game, that I dare not spoil. This is a game that tu need to play for yourself. It’s that good. I mean, at least we will always have our Silent colina 2 experiences. Shame we can’t get anything else from the Silent colina franchise. Isn't that right, Konami?
#8: Dark Souls
I know that Skyrim is praised as one of the best RPGs of the modern age, but I much prefer Dark Souls. Mostly do to the universe it has created and the much darker story telling. Dark Souls is a JRPG that acts as a western RPG, and I amor it. The game follows a Chosen Undead as he must collect four lord souls in order to either light the First Flame and keep the Age of fuego alive, o extinguish it and bring forth the Age of Darkness. This isn’t a game where there are is just good and bad. Every character is a mix of both. Even the character tu play as can choose to be the exact same. No character is seguro from any sort of evil deeds, no matter how much tu wish to avoid it. I mean, tu gotta kill Sif, and we all didn’t want to, but had to. And, if there is one thing that tu may have heard about Dark Souls, it’s the difficulty. And I’m here to tell tu that, yes, Dark Souls is a hard game. It’s very hard. But not as hard as the internet made it out to be. If tu have the patience and the right equipment, tu can achieve everything in this game. It’s definitely not Battletoads hard. And the storytelling is very vague, which I really amor in a game. Just keeping a story very well hidden and told through character dialogue and descriptions of items is very interesting. Sure, it can be very hard, but I still amor Dark Souls for it’s amazing world, well thought-out gameplay, and lore. Just about any reason people amor Dark Souls.
#7: Super Mario 64
We all know that Mario is one of the most recognizable and most successful game franchises of all time. And with a game like Super Mario 64, it’s not hard to see why. Super Mario 64 is a game that comes once in a lifetime and revolutionizes the entire gaming industry as a whole. The game managed to jump from 2D to 3D perfectly, with a game that had tight and fun controls and amazing platforming in it. I mean, the story is nothing award winning worthy. Bowser takes over Peach’s Castle, and Mario must collect a certain number of things to save her. Typical stuff, really. But damn if it isn’t one of the finest platformers ever made. The colorful world tu explore, the abundance of worlds and challenges to try out, and some of the best and most creative graphics (At the time). The game was just so much fun to try. And getting all of those stars was very challenging but fun just to get to the parte superior, arriba of the roof and find Yoshi sitting up there. So much secrets were in the game, and so much fun was to be had. tu could be busy for days, maybe even months with this kind of game. And even the DS remake was a lot of fun, allowing tu to get más stars, had enhanced graphics, and allowed tu to play as Mario, Luigi, Wario, and Yoshi. The fun just never ends with Super Mario 64, does it.
#6: Animal Crossing: New Leaf
I never played the original Animal Crossing. I always saw my brother play it on our old Gamecube, and I thought to myself “I need this game”. When my brother passed the Gamecube onto me, I was so excited to try out all the games, but I was always involved with play one game (We’ll get to it soon). I only played a few games before our Gamecube broke (Sad día for everyone). But, years later, I got to play Animal Crossing, and it was so much funner than the first. Being the mayor of the entire town meant that tu got to do so much más with the town, like build whatever tu wish, and create it as tu saw fit. tu were still in debt to the Raccoon Mafia owned por Tom Nook, but that was a small price to pay for enjoying the calm and happy life of Animal Crossing: New Leaf. tu could do so many things to make money, like collect items, fish, and bugs. Even find gems o get the campana Rock that comes once a day. And with all the new features that would take me forever to list, it’s easy to see how such a game managed to take up the most time on my 3DS.
#5: Resident Evil 4
I know I praise the Resident Evil Remake for it’s scary gameplay, and I do amor it, don’t get me wrong. It’s an amazing remake. But Resident Evil 4 is just so much better. Resident Evil 4 is the game that tried so hard to please literally everyone, and, guess what, it did just that. Everyone loved the game. And this game gets the praise that it deserves. In Resident Evil 4, tu play as Leon S. Kennedy, the same one from Resident Evil 2, who, after surviving the Raccoon City Outbreak, has gone on to work for the president, and now needs to rescue the president's daughter. Oh, Resident Evil. Always trying to be so cheesy. This leads Leon to a small village in Spain, where he is met with villagers driven crazy from a parasite known as Las Plagas. The game is so much fun with the shooting and aiming being very satisfying, and the game always surprising tu with giant monsters and threatening enemies. And the merchant is one of the best characters in video games ever. The game always has so much to mostrar for it. In fact, there so much good, I don’t think I could lista it all. It’s just so satisfying. It manages to have fun action packed gameplay, but also managed to be scary, and that’s a lot I can say for Resident Evil (Especially the later ones). Seriously, if tu haven’t played Resident Evil 4, go play it. tu can play it on… basically any console. Seriously, they remade it like several times for every console.
#4: Red Dead Redemption
I know that Grand Theft Auto is Rockstars biggest franchise, and I do amor the games, but nothing comes close to Red Dead Redemption for me. The game follows John Marston, and ex-outlaw who left the criminal life to start a family, but it now forced por the government to go and hunt down his old gang to get his family out of the government's custody. Unlike Grand Theft Auto, where tu need to do a lot of other things that change from your main goal, ven in major story missions, with Red Dead Redemption, nothing ever changes from your main goal. In Grand Theft Auto, tu may just help a guy for money, and that’s about it. In Red Dead Redemption, you’re not helping some con artist make money so tu can get some of it o helping some drunk with weapons so tu can get a cool new weapon. All of this is done so tu can get help on stopping the gang. Everything comes back to the gang one way o another. Nothing ever changes that. The world is also incredibly massive. Hell, I think it’s bigger than some other open world games. Red Dead Redemption also has my favorito! video game character ever, John Marston, a man who will always put up with the worst kinds of people just for his family's sake and does so much más that it would be a sin for me to spoil it for you. Just play Red Dead Redemption for yourself. Trust me, it’s amazing.
#3: Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
Oh man, now we’re getting to the good ones. Metal Gear Solid has always been a legend among the gaming franchise, but if we are gonna talk about the very best one, people will always say that it is Metal Gear Solid 3. And I completely agree. tu play as Naked Snake in the 1960s, as he must stop his old mentor, Big Boss and her team of very odd individuals from causing a dangerous war between Russia and the United States. The usual political stuff tu get with these Kojima games. Metal Gear Solid 3 is a lot different from past Metal Gear games, that being that tu are now in a jungle, where tu must stay camouflaged using multiple camoflauge outfits, as well as using several methods to take out enemies. The game also has hunger, where tu must keep Naked Snake from starving and giving away his location… o dying. Metal Gear Solid 3 also has some of the best bosses in video games ever. Ocelot, The Pain, The Fear, The End, The Fury, The Sorrow, Shagohod, and the final boss, Big Boss, is just so much fun. This game was just so much fun to play, and easily one of the best Metal Gear Solid experiences I ever had. Shame Konami had to screw it up with yet another Pachinko machine. Konami is just trying to get a lot of hate, isn’t it?
#2: Chrono Trigger
Final fantasía may be Square Enix’s biggest franchise, but, to me, it doesn’t compare to the masterpiece that is Chrono Trigger. The game follows a young boy named Crono and his teammates, Marle, Lucca, Frog, Robo, and Ayla, as they travel across time itself to stop Lavos, a parasite from space, from destroying the world and creating a future where mankind can barely survive. The game is easily one of the most amazing I have ever played when it comes to RPGs of the SNES days. Every character has their own personality and talents, with all of them being so memorable and creative, and all of them having such interesting backstories that makes me actually care for them unlike some of Final Fantasy. The story can be finished at any time tu wish, with multiple outcomes for the ending, and it’s just an amazing thing to see. Chrono Trigger also created the whole New Game+ thing, that allows tu to bring your stats and items from the first mode into this new mode and do the game again and see what tu may have missed, even beating the game within an hora of playing. The game is just so perfect in so many ways. The story, the characters, the gameplay, and the world it has created it so perfect. The creators dicho that they didn’t want to make anymore Chrono Trigger games, because they wouldn’t want it to get old like Final Fantasy, and… I guess I can’t blame them for that. I’m just glad that Chrono Trigger managed to stay timeless, even in the many years after its release, and it’s still as amazing back then as it is now.
Okay, now, for the honorable mentions… Which there are a lot of. Matrix: Path of Neo, Tetris Plus, Gex 3, Ristar, LEGO estrella Wars II, Sonic the Hedgehog, Return to castillo Wolfenstein, Anarchy Reigns, Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Halo 2, Assassins Creed: Revelations, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King: The Video Game, estrella Wars: Republic Commando, Saints Row IV, Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure, Super Monkey Ball 2, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Trauma Team, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, Resident Evil: Revelations, Goldeneye 007, Harvest Moon DS, Madworld, Twisted Metal: Black, Hitman Absolution, Saints Row, Hitman: Contracts, Mortal Kombat: Deception, Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Resident Evil: Revelations 2, Pokemon Stadium, Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, estrella Wars: Battlefront 2, The Suffering, Max Payne, Dead o Alive 3, The Sims, Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory, Banjo-Kazooie, New Super Mario Bros., Spyro the Dragon, Dead Rising, Kirby Mass Attack, Viewtiful Joe, Sleeping Dogs, Mortal Kombat 9, Dead Space, Halo: Combat Evolved, Super Mario 3D Land, Spongebob Squarepants: Battle for Bikini Bottom, Jade Empire, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Dead Rising 2, Fable: The lost Chapters, Mario Kart 7, Jet Set Radio Future, The lobo Among Us, Halo: Reach, Left 4 Dead, Tony Hawk Underground, Far Cry 3, Minecraft, Brutal Legend, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Saints Row 2, Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, calle Fighter II, Pokemon X and Y, Grand Theft Auto V, Half-Life 2, Devil May Cry 3, Super Mario Galaxy, Grand Theft Auto IV, Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Fable 2, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Halo 3, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations, Resident Evil Remake, Telltale’s The Walking Dead, Metroid Prime, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask, Dishonored, and Final fantasía VII… And with that out of the way…
#1: Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker
tu all knew that it was going to be number one. My nombre de usuario is named after this game. I amor it that much. I amor this game so much. I don’t care what anyone says, but when I was able to get this game again after eight years, I cried with joy. I don’t care what anyone says, I amor this game so much. The game follows Link, a young boy with some actual personality, as he travels across the Great Sea to save his sister Aryll, but also must save the world from the evil Ganondorf who has come back to claim the Triforce. The game has one of the largest worlds in a Zelda game. The game is also very beautiful with its cel-shading that, when they were making the HD remake, tu wouldn’t need to enhance the graphics. Just look at Wind Waker. It’s beautiful already. How can tu make it even más beautiful? The bosses were also real fun to fight, even making Ghoma kind of threatening from it’s Ocarina of Time counterpart. Yes, Tingle was annoying and getting the Triforce pieces weren’t that good, but I still amor this game. I guess that, when I was growing up at the age of seven when I first played this game, I was just young and was still trying to experience my very own adventures with growing up. That’s probably why I grew to amor Wind Waker so much. Link was a young boy who was also experiencing his own adventures. Maybe far different from mine, but I was still a young boy, still not fully understanding the world around me, but with a game like this, I could easily see this game as a great adventure for Link and, in ten years of my gaming experience, myself as well. What an adventure it has been, I’ll tell you. Wind Waker was the first game I had ever played that opened up the world of gaming for me and I have cherished Wind Waker ever since. That is why The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker is and always will be my favorito! video game of all time.
Well, there tu have it. Did tu enjoy the list? Tell me what tu thought of it. With that said, I will see tu all siguiente time.
#10: Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
