I was in the darkness again. I couldn’t see anything. Every night, I would come here, unsure of where I am. Suddenly, I saw it. A white house. It was two stories tall, with a walkway that stretched for what felt like eternity. The windows were curved, all of them having red curtains. But, what stood out was the white door with the black doorknob. Why was this hear. It looked threatening, but at the same time, it seduced me, tempting me, wanting me to turn it and open the door. I slowly reached toward it. The distance of my hand the the doorknob slowly decreasing. I finally placed my hand on the cold black doorknob, and gave it a slow turn. The tumblers in the doorknob began to turn along with it, opening the door. I gave the door a gentle push. The door slowly opened, creaking loudly. Once I was able to walk in, I found them as I always had. It was a group of well dressed people. Each of them wearing black suits and red ties. But, what stood out was the fact the each one of them were wearing masks. The masks looked like a man’s face. I was never able to see their real faces. I don’t know why. They were all sitting in brown chairs at a long brown table, sipping coffee. The coffee would get onto their masks and drip downward. They acted as if their masks were their actual faces. I walked over to them, and sat in an empty seat. They just sat there, sipping their coffee and looking off into nothing. They would always sit there, never changing from their routine. But, something was different today. I had never noticed it before, but for some reason, at the end of the table, was four mannequins. They were all wearing casual clothing. T-shirts, jeans, usual clothing. However, was stood out from these mannequins was that the faces of them were carved to look like the faces of actual people. These people looked familiar. I can’t tell where I have seen them before, but they are very familiar in some way. But, what stood out más was that, once I observed them more, I began to see splotches of blood on their bodies. Blood wounds formed on their bodies. They were on places that would be fatal to a human. The masked men didn’t seem to acknowledge the mannequins, and just kept drinking their coffee. However, as soon as I took my eyes of the mannequins, something… new happened. The masked men all looked in my direction. They all kept looking at me, as if I was doing something I shouldn’t had. Then, before I knew it, they all began to pull of their masks. This was something I had never experienced before. They had never taken their masks off in any of the times I have been here. Once they had removed their masks and placed them on the ground, I was left in a state of shock. Their faces looked exactly like the faces on the mannequins. They were exact replicas. The masked men kept looking at me, until they all spoke in unison, “Time to go, Mr. Davis”.
Before I could speak, the door with the black doorknob opened. I turned to see who I was always accustomed to seeing. It was the man in the white suit. He walked over to me, holding something sharp in his hand. I tried to escape, but it felt like I had something tieing my arms together. I couldn’t move. I was paralyzed. The man in the white suit got on one knee, overlooking me. Then he spoke.
“Time for your medicine, Mr. Davis”
