Now, I think I have read one of the greatest mind-screw Creepypastas since NoEnd House. That creepypasta would be the Legend of Zelda Creepypasta, Happiness for Sale.
So, this fanfic takes place in the Zelda universe, not a cursed game story (Thank God). So, it's about a boy, who sees the Happy Mask Salesman walking through town. Everyone seems fascinated por the masks he has. Of course, the boy is scared por him and, from childhood experience with this guy after playing Majora's Mask, I can't blame him.
Anyway, some time later, the Happy Mask Salesman builds a comprar in town, and the boy wants to know más about him, so he decides to go and see him. Sure enough, the boy goes and he is the only person in the comprar with the Happy Mask Salesman. But, soon, a toddler walks in and asks for a mask. But, soon, the Happy Mask Salesman begins to strangle the kid, lift him up off the ground and then, he turns into a monster and eats the kid. After which, he takes the kids face and uses it as a mask, which he asks the main character if he wants it.
After this, the Happy Mask Salesman disappears and the boy is left trying to live his life, while warning the reader to never trust a mask salesman.
Now, tu may think this story sucks, but, think of it this way. The Happy Mask Salesman is a scary guy. Just look at him in Majora's Mask. And, this backstory is pretty creepy. He does have a pretty demonic aura of him, and tu have to wonder, where does he get these masks from. Hell, one of them looks like its made of skin. So, this really messes with your mind, which is why this story is so good. But, hey, that's only my opinion. What's Your Take
