I walked out of the girls’ trailer, Lindsay beside me. “How did tu get out of that green stuff… uh…”
“Kiyurie.” I sighed. “But tu can call me K.” Okay, I know that sounds stupid, but it’s hard to make up a good nickname for someone as dumb as Lindsay!
“Ok, K! I’ll be L, isn’t that such a great idea? We can be letter BFF’s!”
Oh. Kay. Clearly she had gone crazy.
“Sure.” I waved her off, and she ran to Beth. I went to find Gwen.
“Hey.” I nodded. “Hi.” She smiled.
“Hello, campers!” Chris shouted. “Today’s challenge will be to set up a movie scene.”
“Yeah.” Leshawna interrupted. “Ohh, that is just too easy!” She started to lift a clothes-thingy.
“Wait, I’m not done yet. First we have to choose the teams. So…” He trailed off. “Kiyurie- over there. Izzy, other side. Ladies first. Kiyurie, go ahead. And one más thing. We should have a boy, girl, boy, girl policy.”
“Um…” I wanted so desperately to pick Duncan, but…
I glanced at him. He nodded. Phew.
“Duncan,” I said, smiling at him.
We high-fived as he walked towards me.
“Izzy?”
“Trent.”
“Kiyurie?”
Gwen was nodding and pointing at herself. “Okay… Gwen.”
“Cool.” She smiled and walked to me.
And this team thing kept on going. The teams ended like this.
Gaffers: TC: Kiyurie (me), Duncan, Gwen, Justin, Lindsay, Owen.
Grips: TC: Izzy, Trent, Leshawna, DJ, Heather, Harold.
But Beth was still left. “What about me?” She asked.
“Weeellll…” Chris said. “Since Kiyurie arrived at inicial base first, the Gaffers get one player extra. That’s you, Beth.”
“Yes!” Beth sounded happy to be with me.
I smiled. She nodded back.
“Meet me in an hora before the challenge starts. And I forgot… tu won’t be building your set here, you’ll be building it wayyy up there.” He laughed.
I headed towards the forest. I wanted to climb a árbol and just admire nature, but when I found a perfect árbol and climbed it, I saw Duncan below me.
I blushed. “Oh… hey.”
“Hey.” He nodded. “I wanted to tell you, thanks for choosing me. For your team, I mean.”
“No problem.” I tipped my head to one side.
“Okay. Did tu climb up there?”
Duh. “Yeah.” Would he think I was crazy?
“Wow. How do tu do that?”
“Well…” I jumped off the árbol and showed him. “There’s a million trees in my garden, so… yeah.”
“Yeah…” He climbed up and joined me.
“Wow, it’s cool up here.” What?
“You’ve never climbed a árbol before?”
He shook his head.
“Wow.”
He smiled at me a smile that took away my breath. He was so perfect!
“And guess what…? You’re amazing. I know tu are. I mean, I hardly know you, but…”
*Kiyurie in C.*
“OMG! Did he just call me amazing?” (Smiles and shakes head) “He’s so hot!”
*Duncan in C.*
“Now that is amazing. That girl Kiyurie… SHE’s amazing.” (Sighs) “But I’m seriously not getting anywhere with her. What would I do? Don’t tell her, but I’m seriously…”
Crushing on her.
(Back to reality)
“Okay, do tu mind if I try something?” I had no idea what I was saying.
“Sure…” He sounded puzzled.
“Thanks. Stand back,” I told him, smiling.
I didn’t think I would ever do it.
I jumped off the árbol and did two flips before I landed.
“Woah… Kiyurie!”
“I know, I know. Pathetic. I’ve been taking gymnastics and kung fu…”
“No, no.” His voice was impatient. “You’re awesome, tu did it!”
I gasped, breathless. I jumped into his arms, hugging him. He hugged back.
“Wait.” He let go. “Did tu say tu know kung fu?”
I blushed. “Karate, too. I know, it’s a guy thing.”
“Seriously? mostrar me,” He commanded.
“Alright.” Would I pass? Fail?
I took a deep breath, jumped up, twirled around in the air, and slammed into a árbol with my boot. Well, I didn’t slam into it. Actually I kicked it, so hard a branch broke.
Oops…
“How was that?”
“Wow. You’re good.” He did this weird gesture thingy, but it looked cool, so I did it right back at him.
“Thanks.”
*Duncan in C.*
“I had no idea she could do that! Amazing, Wonderful. Totally an 11 on my You’re-Amazing meter.” (Flirty wink) “
(Duncan’s POV)
Amazing. Awesome. Wonderful. I was totally sure of three things.
One, Kiyurie is the best girl EVER,
Two, Adding her onto the game was totally key,
And three, I had a totally big crush on her, not that I was ever admitting that to anyone!
I was Duncan. The Punk. The Delinquent. The bad boy. And I had to stay that way.
But there was another thing, that had totally nothing to do with Kiyurie.
Courtney. The girl I once liked. What would she think? Say? DO??? The Courtney I knew would make the best out of it. She wouldn’t do anything to my Kiyurie. But the OTHER Courtney would do just the opposite.
But I wouldn’t let her. Never. Ever.
I don’t care if Kiyurie doesn’t like me back. Well, I do really.
I would protect her against anyone, anything, anytime. Even if I had to give up invincibility. Even Courtney, my former girlfriend. That was how much I-
No. Don’t think about her.
“Courtney…” I whispered.
“What?” That was Kiyurie.
I shook my head helplessly.
“I like you, okay? I’ve liked tu since…since tu stepped onto the bus. Miss Kawaii.”
Her eyes grew wide. The siguiente thing I knew, I was besar her, fully on the lips. It was SO the best moment of my life.
But that reminded me of my first kiss. With someone else. Someone else I didn’t like.
Not anymore.
“Hey!” Kiyurie protested when we pulled apart. “Did tu call me… Miss Kawaii?”
“Couldn’t help myself,” I laughed.
She punched me in the arm. A nice punch.
(Normal POV)
He kissed me! I was so psyched!
“We should be heading back.” I tried to steer myself away from him.
“Yeah.” He agreed.
I liked the way he held my hand on the way back.
Stay tuned for part two! It’s going to be awesome! Yeah! I don’t know what’s up with me. I’m really random… haha.
Peace out… and- yay!!! My b-day is coming up! On the 29th of October. Yesss!
(Sorry, okay, I’ll stop now.) :p
