The only hope the System has is a ragtag team of five humans with a stolen ship still stumbling their way through a power structure with más secrets than a Marvel post-credits reveal.
It's TV's proud answer to the B cine of yore, with grandiose ambitions on a shoestring budget and sketchy special effects counterbalanced por oversize, hammy acting.
Problem is that The Expanse is such a wonderfully realised, affectingly believable, deceptively smart, and really damn engrossing mostrar that it’s far too easy to forget that you’re watching a piece of speculative fiction.
