I saw the total solar eclipse in 1999, which I remember being quite a big deal here in the UK. It had been the first one viewable from here in about 70 or 80 years. I've also seen a few lunar though my memories of those are more vague, but at least you can look at a lunar eclipse directly!

I remember when it was, too. 8/21/2017. Dude, it was the most epic shit I've ever seen in my life. I honestly hope I get to see another one, but I may not. If not, than at least I got the chance to see it.
