Although I like Whitney, I think it's her own fault, probably she died because of drugs, she took an overdose etc. Michael Jackson was murdered and that's makes his death sadder I think.

This is pretty disgusting. One's passing shouldn't be greater than the other because of who they are. Both of them leaving too soon as well as anyone else is sad. I can't believe someone asked such a question. .__.

Of course it's sad when somebody dies, but this question wasn't about whose death was greater or more important, but which of them was SADDER and that's quite different question. I dare say that the sadder death is when somebody is murdered, dies in terrible accident, war, or simply lonely etc. than death eg. just out of old age, when somebody dies peacefully at home surrounded by the people who love him.

You're free to disagree all you want of course, and I meant greater by level of sadness. I thought it was self-explanatory.
