That evening, John went to Caryn's house to pick her up for their Valentine's día date. When he saw her, he said, "You look so beautiful, Caryn." She smiled and said, "Thank you, John. tu look handsome." He blushed and said, "Thanks." As John and Caryn headed down the road, she asked, "So, where are we going, John?" He said, "It's a surprise." She said, "Oh, I amor surprises." They happily talked while going down the road. Suddenly, Caryn noticed a deer run across the road. She cried, "John! Look out!" He managed to stop, and the deer acted like it was going to go on across. Just then, he turned around and took a leap, colliding with John's car. The deer got up and somehow walked away unharmed. John took a few deep breaths and tried to recover from the shock. Caryn said, "That was scary." She then looked at John and asked, "Are tu okay?" He said, "I'm fine, Caryn. My windshield isn't." She said, "I'm not worried about your windshield. I'm worried about you. Your windshield can be fixed." He said, "Well, I do feel like there's something stuck in my arm, but I'm sure I'm okay." Caryn got out a flashlight, and she turned it on. She gasped and said, "John! You're not okay! tu have broken glass stuck in your arm, and you're bleeding!" He looked down, and sure enough, Caryn was right." She carefully removed the glass and said, "You're going to have to have stitches." John felt physically ill at the thought of having to get stitches. She said, "Don't worry. They'll numb you. tu won't feel a thing." He said, "Good." John called Stan to pick them up and take them to the hospital. Stan's cousin got his tow truck to take John's car to get it fixed.
Paul's Special Friend
I first met Erin through Allie. From the sad look in her eyes, I knew that Erin needed a friend. As we got to know each other, she opened up about losing her best friend, Barry. She said, "My poor excuse of a grandfather shot Barry. I offered to get help for him, but he wouldn't let me leave him. I guess he didn't want to die alone." I hugged her and said, "I'm sorry. I know what pain you're going through. I lost my best friend, too. For the longest time, I blamed myself, because Alice and I were playing in the river. It was my insistence. I miss her sometimes, but I'm okay." Erin and I became really close as time passed. She was even passionate about música like I was. There was once when we got into a big argument, but our friendship was stronger, and we've remained best friends ever since. One day, when we were in high school, we put our heads together, and we decided to start a band. Of course, the challenge was finding other members.

One day, when we talked over the phone, I said, "My parents dicho it was okay with them. I wanted to ask tu if tu would like to share an apartment with me this year. I don't want to go through another bad roommate experience." He said, "I'd amor to! I'll go ask my parents if it's okay." There was silence for a long time. After a long time of silence, I heard Hillel's voice again. He said, "I'm back. They dicho that since it was okay with your parents, it was okay with them." I said, "That's great." Toward the end of the summer, we moved into our apartment. I was glad that I didn't have to put up with a roommate listening to rap música and refusing to turn it down. I later learned that Hillel was a very valuable roommate. I never knew that one day, he would end up saving my life.
