That evening, John went to Caryn's house to pick her up for their Valentine's día date. When he saw her, he said, "You look so beautiful, Caryn." John felt physically ill at the thought of having to get stitches. She said, "Don't worry. They'll numb you. tu won't feel a thing." He said, "Good." John called Stan to pick them up and take them to the hospital. Stan's cousin got his tow truck to take John's car to get it fixed.
