This is some stuff I have found from what people were shown at the Comic Con. ( Lucky wotsits who got to go ) No sign of the trailer yet though I'm constantly looking I haven't slept in 24 hours.
Anyway...
San Diego Comic Con panel:
Spoilers from the panel
-Merlin has been recommissioned for series 5.
-Having two series ahead gives TPTB "creative space" to focus on the characters and "slow-burning" story arcs.
-Morgana will return, and her magic is just as strong as Merlin's.
-Merlin's story arc will see him finding his true place in the court of Camelot.
-The knights will be a strong unit in series four. Arthur and Lancelot get their swords out a lot.
-There'll be a bit of flirtation between Lancelot and Gwen.
-TPTB promise "an unexpected twist" to the Arthur / Gwen / Lancelot amor triangle.
-Uther has had to up too his past actions, and the repercussions will continue in series four.
-Uther will never give up his crown to Arthur, but admits that a "battle for power" will occur between the father and son.
-Lancelot gets to meet the dragon.
-Morgana gets to blast a guy against a wall.
-The fourth series will be "more filmic" and will feature más "epic, vast, magical landscapes" with más green-screen shooting.
-Merlin has a lot in his plate at the moment for romance.
-Morgana is confident and self assured this season.
-About the reveal: "To reveal it to someone [Arthur] who, at this stage, cannot possibly comprehend who he is and what he stands for, would ruin everything".
-Merlin will have a new reason to keep his magic secret in series four.
The dragon is back.
-We see Old Merlin as he is in the future, not Merlin using him as a disguise but we see him as he will actually be in 60 years.
Merlin secrets from the trailer: Morgana becomes FAR más powerful, Gwen and Lancelot are caught together (!), and there's a funeral.
Trailer includes a scene in which Arthur, dressed in white, puts his hands over Gwen's eyes from behind and another in which Arthur and Gwen kiss for a while. They are framed por a wooden door so it could either be her house of his chambers.
It also features plenty of action with the knights, some Arthur / Gwen smooching, another appearance from the aged Merlin and... Arthur with the king's crown
