If tu are like the millions of other Harry Potter fans out there, tu have been keeping up with every little bit of Half Blood Prince film information that has leaked out so far. After reviewing the five trailers (including the japón one) and first look that have come out (not including ABC's five, one minuto long previews), fans now have a general idea of what will be in the film from the book, and what is changed/won't be in the film. Thus what follows is what I have gathered to be the scenes included in the film from the books, and what we will see having been changed from book to film translation.

Spinner's End: It surely looks like there will be the Unbreakable Vow taken por Snape and Narcissa and created por Bellatrix. However, have yet to see if there will be the two sisters running to Snape's house, but in the latest trailer tu can tell that Narcissa is pretty broken up.

Dumbledore and Harry Visit Slughorn: Now we already know that the major change to this one is that Dumbledore will not be picking up Harry at the Dursley's, but rather at a restaurant where he is flirting with a waitress. It also looks like they will be in a subway station at the beginning too, as it looks like Dumbledore is standing por an ad with the word "Magic" in a subway station at the start of the Japanese trailer. Furthermore, they leave from what looks to be a subway station in the first look. There certainly looks like there will be Apparition involved, as the crazy apparition sequences have been consistently shown in the trailers (which I personally feel is a great film representation). Slughorn will definitely be in hiding por having made his inicial look ransacked, as can be seen in the first look with Harry standing in Slughorn's inicial as it rearranges to it's original condition (awesome scene btw).

Hogwart's Express: There is certainly going to be Harry spying on Malfoy as we can clearly see Malfoy casting most likely the Petrificulus Totalus spell in the train compartment and then throwing the Invisibility capa over Harry. However, the major change seems to be that Luna will find him via her Spectrespecs from The Quibbler, as can be seen in the most reciente trailer released with Watchmen. If someone can please explain how she can see invisible things with her Spectrespecs, although I can see where the filmmakers may get this idea from seeing as how she asks Harry if a Wrackspurt has him, then proceeds to explain that they go through your ears and are invisible, which after she waves her arms. However they did get the descripción of her Spectrespecs correct seeing as how they are supposed to be psychedelic. Slightly bummed that tonks will not be finding him, but maybe they are starting the film off with her and Lupin already together? We'll see.

Slug Club: Okay members of the Slug Club and it's surrounding events! Certainly looks like they got their members correct! We can clearly see in the Slug Club gathering (a fancy looking cena in the trailer which Ginny arrives late to) that Neville, Hermione, Harry, Zabini, Cormac, and Ginny are all members. That is all canon. Furthermore, in the navidad party bits it is clear that Harry does indeed bring Luna along with him, and that Malfoy gets caught por Filch, also canon. Have yet to see if there is any Hermione/Cormac action in any of the Slug Club scenes, but judging por the Ron and Cormac image link I'm sure there will be some action between them just so Hermione can make Ron jealous.

Kisses: It looks like the two major kisses are going to play out differently. First off, the Ron/Lavender kiss looks like what the Harry/Ginny kiss was in the book. There's takes place in the middle of the common room after a big Quidditch win thanks to Ron, spontaneously and in the middle of a big crowd. Harry and Ginny's takes place according to various sources and the trailer, in the Room of Requirements after Ginny tells Harry that she has a secret of her own she wants to give him.

The Memories: I'm positively bummed that there are only supposedly going to be three memories. We already know that one of them is going to be Dumbledore meeting Riddle at the orphanage. This looks like it is staying strictly with canon, right down to Dumbledore's ridiculous purple suit. In the latest trailer it can be seen that Riddle has to pluck a box out from the cabinet on fire, as he is told por Dumbledore in the book, for it contains things he has stolen from the other children that Dumbledore orders him to return. The other memory that we know will be in the movie is the central one of the entire book, Slughorn and Voldemort on Horcruxes. This looks to be quite canon in respect to the only version we've seen is the lie version.

Amortentia: Ron is definitely getting fed some Amortentia por accidental digestion of Amortentia laced chocolates meant for Harry from the girly Romilda Vane. However, what is unsure is whether o not Ron will suffer a poisoning that will require a hospital stay after drinking mead with Slughorn and Harry. We know that he collapses, and it is presumable that he is fed a bezoar. However, in the first look Ron is sitting up after his fall and says, "These girls, they're going to kill me Harry." It is logical to assume that it is after his fall as he is in the same position on the floor where he fell. If there is no hospital scene though, there seems little hope for that wonderful canon scene of him saying, "Er-my-nee" in his sleep. It also looks like Hermione will be describing the potion in class, like she did in the book. Let's hope she gets flustered and trails off =)

Oppugno: I'm so glad this scene is being included seeing as how it is my all time favorito! Ron/Hermione scene! And it looks absolutely canon, from Ron and Lavender running in (though not besar like stated in the book) to Harry sitting with Hermione to Hermione shooting the birds at Ron with the spell Oppugno. I must say I cannot wait to see this scene in its entirety.

Silver and Opals: We haven't seen much regarding this scene, but we do know that it will be included as the opal collar can be seen in this image link. Although some, including myself, may have thought it was Cho Chang getting cursed, it will still be Katie campana according to Mugglenet. So, pretty close to canon!

SectumsempraThere hasn't been too much seen for this scene, but there is definitely Malfoy having his emo moment in a bathroom (hopefully Myrtle's though she isn't on the cast lista on IMDB). Malfoy can also be seen casting a spell at Harry in the first look.

The Cave: Now in the trailers we have seen a multitude of times that Harry and Dumbledore, it looks like they land on a rock quite a bit of a ways away from the cliffs that contain the cave. In the book, it looks like they landed closer in the illustration. It is also supposed to be night when they go, but in the trailers, it looks to be just a very cloudy day. However, it looks like Dumbledore's sacrifice of blood will be made to open the entrance, and that he will grasp the chain to bring the barco to them. However there look to be some differences that can be currently seen with canon and the film. The island in the middle of the lake that contains the Horcrux is not smooth, but rather covered in crystally stalagmites (I think that's what they're called). Furthermore, Harry does not fall into the water thanks to the Inferi, he is carried pretty darn close to it though before Dumbledore conjures up the massive amounts of flame to defend against the Inferi. It does look like Dumbledore will be weakened por the potion, as it can be seen that Dumbledore is lying on the island as Harry throws spells at the advancing Inferi. Furthermore, Dumbledore does indeed conjure up fuego and does help Harry back up the island. This will certainly require a box o two of tissue upon midnight showing.

Attack on Hogwarts: There hasn't been much shown regarding this. It can be seen that it will still be Snape killing Dumbledore as tu see him pointing his wand in the trailers with a fading glare of green on his face, which matches the same shade of green that is the Avada Kedavra curse. It will definitely be taking place in the tower, and it looks like it will be the Astronomy Tower for the tower looks like it has a telescope peaking out from it. Finally, it can be seen that Bellatrix Lestrange will definitely be in attendance, as will Malfoy and Fenrir Greyback. The vanishing cabinet will also be employed it looks like, as it can be seen in the latest trailer that Malfoy pulls a cloth off a cabinet looking item. Harry is definitely chasing down Snape after Dumbledore's death, and Snape is the one that Harry yells, "Fight back, tu coward!" to.


It has been reported that Dumbledore's funeral will not be included in the film. There are also some majorly uncanon scenes that will be in the film including what looks to be an attack on Diagon Alley por Fenrir and two Deatheaters, Deatheaters causing the collapse of a major Muggle bridge (this has the blessing of Rowling and looks AWESOME), and an attack on the Burrow.
