Headmaster Albus Dumbledore: His first name is from the Latin word alba, "white." His last name, according to Rowling interviews, is Old English for "bumblebee." In colour symbolism, white often stands for purity, so the headmaster's name suggests honour and a hard-working nature ("busy as a bee").
Professor Binns: A bin is a large storage container. A dustbin is British English for a garbage can. This boring professor could be described as a ghostly storage for information that many Hogwarts students view as rubbish.

If not little known, at least little remembered. ;) I've collected here eleven (in my opinion) of the most interesting and useful ones. Plus my comentarios on some of them.

1. There is no such thing as a pureblood family. Every wizarding family has a muggle o a few among them. Some just choose to cruzar, cruz them over in their family árbol and pretend they don't exist and instead claim themselves as purebloods.

^I can see Blacks and Malfoys doing that. But makes me wonder why were the Crouches noted as purebloods then, as evidently the father and son were not passionate about purity of blood....
