There is a survey in Australia toward children and it found that they read Twilight más than Harry Potter, so the headline read " Twilight, dug Harry Potter a grave" Harry Potter isnt dead- who agrees with that, and who agrees Twilight is pathetic

Oh come on! Twilight became known when the movie came out. If tu ask HP fans they will tell tu that they read the libros first. I am one of those fans. Ok the truth is that my mother made me read them at a very young age cause she wanted to teach me to read books. I didn't like lectura back then in fact I hated it but this book was different. It is the only book I couldn't put down until a was at the last page. And trust me this book is-since it was the one that got me into lectura books-the only reason I have read the Twilight series. I wouldn't even have bothered!
Harry Potter is classic! It is a whole new world! If tu ask a Twilight fan why she likes Twilight she will answer "because Edward is so hot!" o "because of the amor story in it!" Harry Potter is so much más than that! Harry is just a kid that has to face the most dangerous evil ever existed! He learnes new things every in a school so different than ours and it's exciting to find out about the life in Hogwarts! The most important bond is in there the bond of friendship! What kind of friendship is there in Twilight? Bella just gives up all her friends and family just to be with a guy. friends always come first! They are far más important that guys. This book teaches us how to be friends. Ron and Hermione always take care of Harry and they even risk their lives to save his! How many people do tu know that do that? Harry Potter has qualities that no other book has and this is one of the reasons it will NEVER be forgotten.
The only message Twilight sends us is to fall in amor at the age of 17 run off with that guy thus destroying our future of going to college and get a good job and have a child at the age of 18. Does SM realise the message she sends to young girls? They'll think it's good to run off with a guy and have children before they are even 20. Does SM know what a huge responsibility children are? tu need a job in order to raise them and to get a job tu must first graduate from college. And I know that the Cullens are rich but most of the girls that are lectura this book aren't.
As for the survey Twilight fans are obviously not más than HP fans. I bet the survey was to prove that Twilight has más fans so they chose which people they would ask. Nobody's going to be remembering Twilight in a few years but HP will always be the King of all books.

Twilight is the worst thing ever written. Bottom line. Harry Potter, on the other hand, is the BEST thing ever written. :)

That sort of headline obviously relates to the popularity of Twilight, but I don't really like it at all. It's ridiculous.

I have read both series, and I do agree that Harry Potter is better. It has better characters, plot, storyline, imagination and it is just written better. But I still do amor Twilight (: I personally think, it's a unique approache to vampires, although it sometimes doesn't make sense.

I think that it is outrageous that they think HP is dead. I amor Harry Potter and the fans will always be around so it will never be dead. As for Twilight, I have read it and I enjoyed it as a book series. It was interesting and fun, like Harry Potter, but UNlike Harry Potter the Obsessive Twilight fans are just way too much. Harry Potter will always be my favorito! series, and for right now Twilight is my #2, but It is crazy to think that Harry is dead. =)

Give me Harry Potter any día of the week. And if it's 'dead' why does this spot even exist??? HP forever.

I have been a fan of Harry Potter for over 10 years and I like some aspects of Twilight. I don't like the rivalry between these two fandoms but if I must take a side I will, of course, choose Harry Potter.

As an Australian, I must say I am very disappointed in this. Sigh. Twilight has never, and will never be better than Harry Potter. I'm so sick of this comparision... there is none.

I absolutley amor Harry Potter, but Twilight is good to. But not nearly as much as Harry Potter, and it will be forgotten in 20 years while evryone is still lectura Harry Potter.

I don't think Twilight is necessarily "pathetic", but I also don't think it's even close to being on the same scale as Harry Potter. Harry Potter is brilliantly written, has a wonderful and extensive plot, and has absolutely fantastic characterization. The reason Twilight is so huge right now (in my opinion) is because it appeals specifically to young teenage girls, and is easy to read even for people who don't usually read books. As I dicho before, I don't think Twilight is wretchedly horrible, but I don't think it deserves NEARLY the amount of fame that it's receieved. So fear not. While Twilight appeals to (in my opinion) one particular age group, Harry Potter is read and loved por people of all ages (just look at the book covers-there are ones oriented for kids, and ones for adults). But that's all just my opinion.

Guys, there is no need to say that stuff about twilight.

And, let's face it. Hp isn't as mush as popular as it used to be. People were walking around dressed like wizards. lectura the libros all the time! Everybody waited for the new libros to come out,and everything. But now, we are just waiting for the 7th movie. That's the fact...

Twilight is now IT thing. Everybody wants to be a vampire! " Vampire time ". Wizards are not that interesting anymore.

Which doesn't mean we still can't be fans.

I like Twilight and Harry Potter. However, Twilight does not compare. Harry Potter is más creative, más original, and much better written. I don't know why they are compared all the time- the craze Harry Potter had when it came out is much bigger than then craze Twilight has now. tu can't even compare the two, Harry Potter is a critically much better book than Twilight. All in All, Harry Potter will still be being read in 40 years, Twilight will not.
