cassie-1-2-3 Physical apperance wasn't even mentioned at all in this article, but for some reason you found it necessary to bring it up.
Mrs_Marbles Acts like its okay?! Have you seen how Harry acts when Sirius dies?! No he does not let it just go by like its nothing! Have you even had a relitive die its sad! And by what I have experinced in those books was not like sombody died lets move on! When my uncle died I was sad and you know who was there? Harry! because h felt the same pain that I did I felt like Harry seemed to understand me in a way that other people didint! And people die in harry potter only because its a part of life! I feel much better now....

Hello everyone, today I'm going to tell you why Twilight is a BILLION times better than the Harry Potter. Here are some reasons.
Sorry, but already a weak and childish start. could have simply said you respect everyone's opinion, but this is yours.
1. First, they are no swear words!! I mean I heard in Hp they is swearing, like "h*ll" and "b*tch" I mean little kids are reading that!! Like 7 and 8 years olds!! It's crazy!!!111 In Twilight, there is no swearing beacuse it is a child safe book :)
Yes, but there is early pregnancy, vicious vampires, unprotected sex, dropping out of school, taking trips to Italy without even giving notice to your guardian, hurling yourself off a cliff simply because your boyfriend left you "for your own good" (really, personally, I think that if Edward really cared, he wouldn't have left at all. But that would make the inexistent "plot" even less interesting, if possible.) And, really, I've seen Jacob say hell. Some content and suggestive themes in Twilight are clearly directed to tweenie-boppers, obsessed, rabid fangirls, and then people like 40-year-old moms who have nothing better to do. Of course, they're nearly all women, simply liking the series for the hot guys. Talk about artificial. Child safe? Twilight? No, they're not two words that should be in the same sentence. That book leaves me with shudders and creepy-crawlies. That would simply confuse a 7 or 8 year old, and completely scar them for life, because they're innocent at that age and don't need to be pressured by reality yet.
2. HP is for kids only!! I mean Twilight is for all ages!!! I haven't read HP but I know only little kids read it!! Twilight is for everyone, my 10 year old cousin is reading it n my grandma is reading it too!!!
Sorry, come again? I believe you have it backwards. Oh, ha, I forgot, it's backwards day! Oh, you're NOT joking? Jeez. Kids only, my word... I think that HP reaches a broad audience, fills them with emotion, different ones, like a rollercoaster and has much deeper rooted concepts that kids and adults alike can learn from to be a better person. You can read it over and over, because every time, you find a detail that you've missed that contributes to the whole experience of reading! And if you haven't even read HP, how do you even have reasons to support your argument?
3. People die in Hp!!!!!!! That's wrong! Dying is bad but Hp treats it LIke its okay. In twilight no one dies, only bad peoples do and that's okay because they are bad. in hp Bad people AND good people die. That is wrong wrong. and the books are sad, my friend told me!!
No, dying IS okay. If you didn't notice, a person dies somewhere on this earth every 30 seconds or so! Ever read Tuck Everlasting? It's natural to die, because its part of the cycle and keeps the universe in balance. People get tortured around the world. People who don't deserve to die do. Good people die in war. We all suffer losses. Tell me, have you had a family member who died? I'll bet he/she was a good person, but it happens anyway. Immortality--exactly what Harry didn't want. Voldemort sought it for the wrong reasons, and while he has despicable physical power, there are some things in life that aren't unveiled to him because of th way he thinks.Immortality can't last forever, because nothing does withstand all of time. There has to be a chink in the armor. You pointed out exactly why I strongly dislike Twilight. It's not realistic: only the "bad" guys die, vampires last forever, but there aren't ANY drawbacks to that, they just live happily ever after in BD, no epic fight scene, no suspense, because the author hasn't built up anything but romance. Sad-- that's okay! At least you feel ANYTHING at all! Twilight is quite dull, with emotions that don't reach the reader, running only on romnce. Don't get me wrong, it's an easy read, it's a no-brainer. But Meyer herself doesn't know how badly she's explaining some of th impossible things, and how using large words mean nothing if the reader doesn't feel the importance of them. And as for "bad guys" and "good guys" dying, that's real life for you. Ever watch a war? That happens. I hate how this is so easy for Potterheads to win. Twihards are very often not producing believabe or plausible arguments. And of course, lastly, that's your friend's opinion, don't judge before you read.
4. Hp is boring. I mean seriously I tries reading the first book n got borred in 5 mins. Yes, is that boring. and I heard that that the ending is crappy. But in TWILIGHT, its all exciting and has romance!!!!!!! and action!!!!!
Yep, blah, blah... Oh, you're done? You DO notice that you never go into detail about WHY it's exciting, right? Show, don't tell. What made you bored of Harry Potter? Oh, no, of course, your word wuld suffice. EVERYBODY HEAR?! THIS TWIHARD'S ARGUMENT FOR TWILIGHT BEING BETTER THAN POTTER IS CAUSE SHE JUST GOT BORED WHILE READING IT! What makes you think the Battle of Hogwarts wasn't intense? Well, from what I've read, Bella mostly is a damsel in distress and lets others defend her. She doesn't move a finger except for dissolving into hysteria. You don't appreciate good literature, because you are easily pleased and have similiar writing style and word choice to Meyer.
5. The movies r obviusly better! I mean kristen stewart, robert pattinson and taylor lautner are very very talented!! compared to hp, they are NOT!
Correct! Kristen Stew can't act. No hate towards her, though, cause she's down to earth and hasn't insulted HP. Compared to HP though, their talent is nothing, which is exactly what you're saying.
6. The characters are stupid and boring while in Twilight it is not!!
Again, WHY are they boring? Is it really love, or just obsession and (unhealthy) infactuation that blinds Bella?
Oh well, that's all for now!! More later, and you KNOW twilight is better than hp!!
Oh, yes! Of course, you provided excellent arguments! Not. Any way you end it, HP is going to defend their fanbase, so just expect us to be vicious after your criticism with no logic.

Sorry, but I just have to comment..
Sigh... Child safe book? I have to disagree, twilight: promoting teenage pregnancy and marriage, sex, etc. thats not really a child safe book is it. Bloody hell is not really a swear word to be honest, Molly calling Bellatrix a bitch is necessary, Bellatrix killed her loved one; Fred, its logical for a mother to insult someone who killed her own son.
2. HP is for kids only!! I mean Twilight is for all ages!!! I haven't read HP but I know only little kids read it!! Twilight is for everyone, my 10 year old cousin is reading it n my grandma is reading it too!!!
Oh you just know how to make me laugh don't you? TWILIGHT FOR ALL AGES? dude, twilight is basically for teenage girls: teenage pregnancy, marriage, sparkling boyfriend: I don't think parents would like their children to be reading and getting influenced by those types of concepts and whereas Twilight is only appealing to teenage girls, harry potter is written for everyone to read.
DYING IS NOT BAD.. to a well organized mind death is but the next great adventure-JK Rowling. Yes, people in HP die, but thats what I like about HP, it shows us what its like in the real world, what death is, how we have to cope in losing someone we loved and knew, and thats one of the things I HATE about Twilight, nobody 'good' dies, thats just not right, its not logical or realistic...
4. Hp is boring. I mean seriously I tries reading the first book n got borred in 5 mins. Yes, is that boring. and I heard that that the ending is crappy. But in TWILIGHT, its all exciting and has romance!!!!!!! and action!!!!!
I can tell you the same thing. I tried reading twilight, but believe me i got bored in less than a minute. The description Meyer puts into the book is just too much, about something like a table, or the weather? YOU HEARD that the ending is crappy? its not, in fact, there is no end to harry potter, it was just the end or a erra, whereas Twilight was the end of an error. OH ROMANCE <3 harry potter has romance, and MORE ACTION than twilight, the best and the highlight of twilight where Bella gets kidnapped is the shortest chapter in the whole book.. -.-
5. The movies r obviusly better! I mean kristen stewart, robert pattinson and taylor lautner are very very talented!! compared to hp, they are NOT!
Very talented: kristen stewart, robert pattinson and taylor lautner. COMPARED TO HP?
Maggie Smith, Gary Oldman, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Richard Harris, Michael Gambon, Bill Knight, etc. I'm sorry but you must agree there are more talent and way more enthusiastic cast in harry potter compared to twilight.
6. The characters are stupid and boring while in Twilight it is not!!
Tell me why the character is Harry Potter are stupid? Hermione, the brightest witch of her age, Luna she dosn't care a damn on what people think of her, Harry is the hero, Ron isn't always stupid, he is loyal, and a great friend. Seriously? Twilight characters are not stupid? Bella: jumped off a cliff when Edward left her, Jacob: fought over a girl who was already taken, Charlie: CAN'T EVEN COOK... Ow, beat that!
Many twilgiht people have been saying that JK Rowling copied off HP. Harry Potter came out first. Meaning that: MEYER copied off JK ROWLING. Names: Charlie, Black, Alice, James, our werewolf, mhm...
DramaQueen1020 I'm not trying to start an agruement, I'm just voicing my thoughts.
You kinda contradicted what you said in the beginning by saying "r" instead of "are". Just saying.
1. J.K. wrote the books so they grow along with the readers. As the readers get older they become more tolerant of swear words. And it's not like there's a cuss word every other page. And Twilight isn't really a child friendly book because of the sex, suicidal tendencies, pedophilia, ect. And besides. Most Twihards are teen girls. I'm one, but a Potterhead. Yeah, me and my friends swear sometimes. Not such a big deal.
2. You got this mixed up. You DON'T know only little kids read HP. There are collages that have classes that revolve around Harry Potter. People of many different ages read HP. Kids, teens, young adults, adults and the elderly all have people who read and love Harry Potter.
3. *face palm* Dying is a part of life. It's natural and everyone knows it happens. It's not wrong that characters die. It adds a twist and keeps the story interesting. Death is everywhere, and J.K. tells us that it's a fact. You're born, you live, you die. It's the truth. I might be jumping to conclusions here, but if Twilight's teaching kids that in a perfect world there's no death, it might hurt them later on. Kids love lots of the characters that die in HP, and if they can learn how to deal with losing a loved one through fiction, they can become stronger adults. If you actually read HP, you would realize how Voldie's biggest fear is Death, but you realize there are worse things.
You say HP treats death like its ok, but when Dobby, Dumbledore or Sirius die, it's not like \ Harry's just like "oh, he's dead. Oh well." You say dying is wrong. That's like saying breathing is wrong. It's natural. The forces of life and death cannot be stopped. Sorry for being morbid.
4. It's boring? *another face palm* That's not a solid arguement. And come on, every good book starts out slow and builds to a climax. Romance all the time isn't as fun. HP has so much emotion, and details, and everything! If you got bored that's your problem. And the ending isn't crappy. (I thought you didn't like words not meant for small kids). Just because you heard something doesn't mean it's true. Especially when it's an opinion from a Twihard who hates HP. The ending's actually really good!
5. Have you actually SEEN all the movies? And HP has Rob Patterson and he said he's likes HP better than Twilight anyway. There are so many talented people if HP like Daniel Radcliffe, Gary Oldman, Helena Bonham Carter, ect. The list could go on and on.
6. *yet another face palm* The characters are stupid? Again, personal opinion. How are they stupid and boring? Can you prove that? Most of the main characters are smart, funny, entertaining, and have great personalities, identities and backstories.
You already said it's boring anyway. Wow. This was ridiculous. Or should I say "riddikulus!"
You said you edited it for spelling, but when you say that there are mistakes. Then I spot lots of mistakes throughout the whole article. I just want to fix the grammatical errors with red pen.
Edward's a fictional character. And you've spelt 'girl' wrong.
HPisLife Hello everyone, today I'm going to tell you why Twilight is a BILLION times better than the Harry Potter. Here are some reasons.
1. There is sex in Twilight, so it is not a child safe book. Plus all Bella wants to do in the last to books is have sex, she gets pregnant at 18, then have more sex. Yeah I defenitly want my 10 year old cousin reading that.
2. HP is for all ages, my grandparents love it, my aunt, my uncles. Twilight is specified for 13-17 year old girls.
3. People die in real life, thats why it is more realistic than Twilight, in some ways. People good and bad die in twilight. Remember Irina?
4. I'm suprised you can read and 4 books(ive read them 3 times, all of them) of staring at each other, and saying I love you is boring. Harry Potter encounters Voldemort(the person trying to kill him, that murdered his parents and tons of other people) countless times and gets into dangerous sitiuations every year. talk about exciting! Bella got herself into trouble due to her stupidity. Not bravery. Harry Potter ends up killing Voldemort in the end due to him sacrificing himself for the people at hogwarts. He still lived, he survived the killing curse twice. How is that not a twist in the plot?
5. Robert Pattinson himself said that he didn't feel like Edward, he was way better in 'Water for Elephants' I loved him in that. And WTF Kristen Stewart talented? LOL i nearly died. She has no facial expressions, and disgraces the already disgraced name Bella Swan. Kristen Stewart is the worst actress alive. And just because Taylor Lautner is hot doesn't make it a better movie it makes you shallow.
6. Twilight charactars can be interesting, but don't talk about things you don't know. Severus Snape ended up being Dumbledore's spy and not Voldemort's. He also was in love with Lily Evans(harry's mother). Rebeus Hagrid, half-giant. Has a half-brother who is a giant. Got expelled from Hogwarts becaused he was framed for something he didn't do. What is Bella? An overdependent clumsy pregnant emo 18-year old.
Stop comparing something you know nothing about to something you know little about(twilight). I know more about it than you and I still like Harry Potter better. you twilight fans make me hate something i used to love. Go to hell and read a harry potter book before you judge it so harshly. the dead vampires will be waiting there, because they are the devils spawn. By the way, vampires burn in sunlight because their bodies cant protect them from UV rays. And edward is frozen so he can't impregnate bella with living sperm.
varunthecool Ok, so you mean to say that books in which there is love, sacrifice, etc are bad books...that books like LOTR HP and many others are boring? Seriously???
TheCiaranTaylor I have pretty good reasons why Twilight is better, THIS IS MY OPINION.
The way JK writes just feels like she's showing off or something, I felt like she was undermining me just by reading it. Twilight is a first-person account of Bella swan, so I doubt she would be able to know anyone else's feelings.
Twilight's characters were breaking the stereotype. HP had the geeky-girl who cries all the time because she gets bullied, the dumbass kid who doesn't know what he's doing, then the leader of the group who is in the middle of everything. It's just boring seeing the same things happen all the time in books, movies and TV shows. I personally have never seen a main character who all other characters have mixed opinions of. Jessica sort of envies the way Bella has attracted Mike, Rosalie doesn't like her because she thinks Bella is making the wrong decisions about life and the fact that Bella is able to reproduce but Rosalie can't.
The names are simple for very good reasons because it's a relating book. Who calls their child Hermione? Other than the obsessed Potterheads who will. It's not like all of the people in one story will have very uncommon names. In fact, I dare you to ask 10 people for their names and if just about all of them aren't common, you win-ish.
I don't think friends are all that important, so far most of the friend's I have had in my lifetime treat me like shit or I part with them forever. Love is way more important in my opinion, because I wouldn't fight for my friends, but I would for the girl I love. In Saw: The final chapter, Bobby didn't try his hardest to save his publicist, his lawyer, his friend and his wife. He didn't try his absolute hardest with the first three, but with his wife he tried so hard and he would have saved her if the hooks weren't torn from his skin. So what's the message there? Love is stronger than friendship.
People have been saying that Twilight is shit because it is based on a dream Meyer had... Martin Luther King Jr had a dream as well. Is it wrong to have dreams and tell the rest of the world? Then people say it's inspirational that JK Rowling was a struggling woman who wrote a story... How is that inspirational? There are millions of people in the UK that are struggling. I'm fucking struggling! I write stories on fanfiction but I never get called inspirational!
When I first heard about Twilight, I thought it would be shit, but my mind was blown. I don't think I have ever been excited or happy to watch or read any Harry Potter at all, that's just me...
I'm in the top set in my entire year group, and only two people in the class (both called Amy :D) like Harry Potter, I think the majority of people in my class like Twilight or prefer it to Harry Potter... So I highly doubt that Twi-hards are all retards...
I once read that someone thought Twi-hards were more aggressive towards everyone else if they insulted twilight, but I get verbal abuse from potterheads ALL THE TIME if I make a positive comment about Twilight.
I fucking hate how people say that one is more realistic than the other, because they are both fantasy stories... But Twilight probably has more realism in terms of plot and characters. All of the characters have their own personalities even if they are only in one part. I still don't understand Harry Potter's character. What has he actually got personality-wise that differs from everyone else? I also don't get the point of most of the characters in the story. Why is Cho there? Racial diversity? I don't get it.
Twilight has a LOT more emotion, but it is mainly because of the first-person writing. The way it was written just makes it more down-to-Earth.
"Twilight is about how important it is to have a boyfriend!" Who the fuck said this? I interpreted Twilight as finding yourself through someone else. Bella managed to become more... Her as the story progressed.
I think if people don't like Twilight they either don't have souls or grumpy cat. I am pretty much a hopeless romantic, so anything that involves romance with meaning makes me happy... Yes, I'm a guy... Not a gay guy.
PotterForever lawl you're funny hon ;)
TheCiaranTaylor Did I mention that I still can't get past the first chapter of Deathly Hallows? I just got so bored of it! I read Twilight and continued for hours until 1 in the morning when I had to go to sleep because I had school in the morning! In my opinion the Twilight story doesn't drag on, it gets straight to the point. Harry Potter goes into details that really bore me after taking hours just to read the setting.
The movie's soundtrack is so much better because of Paramore. They are fucking awesome, they made the Twilight movies. There's also Carter Burwell's piano song in the movie which is really nice.
Something that made me laugh is the whole pedophilia thing, Dracula was never called that, never. There's also the necrophilia, he's not actually dead. Blood still runs through his veins, he still walks, talks and he came back to life, like Jesus did.
Meyer was creative about the vampire-thing, I'm talking about the Volturi. I haven't heard of a society of vampires with laws. Meyer's wolves transformed when really angry, Rowling's wolves did the same as a typical wolf, transforming when there's a full-moon.
The amount of times Harry Potter has been expelled from Hogwarts but still managed to be better than the other wizards is baffling. That's so unrealistic.
PotterForever @TheCiaranTaylor I was referring to the original poster of this article with my previous comment, not you lol. I applaud you for making solid points without being immature and resorting to childish nonsense arguments like the original poster of this forum made. I prefer hp, but you're right about Meyer's creativity with the Volturi. I thought the sparkling was a little ridiculous though, she made the characters too "perfect." I also didnt care for the fact that there was very little sacrafice on Bella's part, and she still got her happy ending. I find that fantasy in general is better when the hero loses some things along the way. It makes the reader feel that they came through their struggles, and now deserve a happy ending. This of course is only my opinion, though. Id rather have a rational argument then a fighting match which is usually what goes on around here between fans of the two haha. And I agree, Paramore is awesome :)
potatofan118 Okay, first of all, you said there are no spelling mistakes, and in that little message about how there are no spelling mistakes there's a spelling mistake. That automatically doesn't make me want to believe your stupid arguments.
1. THIS MADE ME LAUGH. Oh, you mean when they're 17 they can't say Hell? and a 40/50 year old woman can't call a psycho serial killer and torturer a Bitch, even when she is killing her daughter? the next part is GREAT though. LOL KID FRIENDLY? oh yeah, because kids of ALL ages can read about sex and high school romance but when they say Hell and Bitch one time, the series fails?
2. Okay, now you're saying that Harry Potter is for kids only? Didn't you JUST freaking say that it has bad words in it? And no, um it's not for only little kids. Evidently, otherwise there wouldn't be as big a fan base as there is. And 10 year olds reading Twilight? So you're okay with 10 year olds reading about sex and high school problems?
3. Dying isn't wrong, you idiot. EVERYONE DIES, PRINCESS. The world isn't a fairy tale. I've said it once and I'll say it again. Dying a heroes death defending what you believe in, is WAY better than attempted suicide because your lover broke up with you. Face reality, honey. If books didn't have sadness you wouldn't want to read them. Would you want to read Twilight if the books were only Happy? Oh wait, if the books were only happy then they wouldn't have the whole battle, and romance, therefore having no point.
4. God, you are really stupid. Every book is boring the first five minutes you read it. Or do you not actually like reading like most of your idiotic fan base? And you probably heard that the ending was crappy from another Twilight fan. Also, if you count defeating the worst wizard and his ARMY with about 100 17 year olds boring, then you are a pathetic human being. LOL romantic and actiony? So the whole, message of LOVE IS THE MOST POWERFUL THING OF ALL message spanning the whole Harry Potter series isn't romantic? And actiony? Please. Right. Battling a wizard and their army with 100 school children and 10 adults. How lame is that?
5. So you mean the ordinary humans acting to be wizards aren't good at acting? They are literally acting the whole time during the movies, unlike in Twilight where there are humans, and human activities that the other creatures do. You can't compare acting. Like, for real. There's a reason the least successful harry potter movie made $90 MILLION MORE DOLLARS than the MOST successful Twilight movie.
6. Right. Wizards are soooooo boring, and action and romance and mystery is sooooooo boring. How could half the world possibly think otherwise?
GinnyRonFred Child safe? Yes because twilight that has sex in it is sooo child safe, you just proved yourself wrong and more people read and actually like harry potter, death connects you to the characters and gives you real reason to HATE the evil ones, in twilight in the first book sm spends 5 frickin pages talking about edwards shity eyes and there is loads of action in hp, yes because kristen stewart plays the boring bella VERY well, jacob is really interesting in body but he is not interesting as a character,
Ravenclaw2001 Did you not mention that it "wasn't for kids", and then said it was "for little kids"?
gondorwarrior Ya'll need to listen to yourselves! In Order, the centaurs took Umbridge, right? Is wasn't to do the nasty with her! She just tried to kill one of their own people! You all of sick minds who think they would do that to her. Centaurs HATE people. They would've killed her, not nastied her. Harry Potter's plot is thicker, and more interesting. It was not intended for kids, because it has REAL WORLD PROBLEMS! Segregation, statuses, reputation, bullying, abuse, DEATH IS A REAL WORLD PROBLEM BELIEVE IT OR NOT. I could go on. It isn't just about the wands and magic and death eaters, it's about the love and loyalty and friendship and sticking together whether or not you know someone by name or by their face or not at all. It's about fighting for your life, your family's, your friends'. It's about finding a cause and fighting for it, no matter what. You could take everything magical (literally) out of the story and it ould be about the power of friendship. You take everything magical out of twilight, you get a whiny brat who can't between two guys.
zanhar1 @ClaireVoyant You're welcome. :3
@gondor It is not far fetched if you read the myth; http://www.theoi.com/Georgikos/KentauroiThessalioi.html
I love HP, but this theory is actually rather sound.
reganhwts 1. Yes, they do swear on a few occasions. However, very rarely are these words ever really mentioned. Clarification: Instead of using actual swear words, Rowling writes: Ron swore loudly, He made an unkind gesture, etc. Even if they do swear, it is rarely bad. Maybe H*LL, or D*MN, or something like that, but they are rarely mentioned earlier in the books. (P.S. These books are meant for 10-and-up year olds. Not 7-9 year olds. Although I read it when I was nine. And, I was fine.)
2. Harry Potter IS meant for all ages. My grandma was actually the one who recommended it to me and gave the first book to me! I have friends years older than me that are obsessed with it. Twilight is a little extreme for younger children. Blood, drama, vampires, drama, etc.
3. Yes, people do die in Harry Potter. Dying isn't bad, It's part of life. If we didn't die, eventually our mind would, and then we would be half-dead zombies. Yuck. People we love die, and we care for them even more. It touches deep emotion. Way more than Twilght. (P.S. REALITY CHECK.)
4. Boring? I tried to read the twilight books, and it got so dramatic, my head fell onto the book. I could feel it numbing my brain. In Harry Potter, there is actually an ongoing plot, like a tree, with a central trunk, and small stories branching off to end in blossoms. In the end, I cried so hard, I had to stop for a second because my vision blurred. (And, if it got the book too wet, I would have a library fine, so...) I laughed and I wanted to jump up and say,"YES!!!!" It was emotional and heartfelt.
5. Shouldn't the books be better? It will be a sad day when no one knows what a book is...How do you define talented? If you're looking for a stone-faced girl with no life, nailed it. Robert Patterson said he actually hated the movies too. He played it like it was. An old depressed, fairy who hated himself.
6. Ok, one: They are not stupid. Hermione could Avada Kedavra Twilight's sorry butt any day! Hermione is as smart as a whip. (And a better role model...) Harry and Ron both study and get very good marks! Harry pores over books to find solutions to problems and answers to questions! Two: Boring? Hardly. Hermione, Ron and Harry risk their lives to save billions of others. They have sword fights, cast crazy spells, have depth of emotion that we know throughout the books. They rode a dragon for goodness' sake!
Twilight is not better.
"Harry Potter is about confronting fears, finding inner strength and doing
what is right in the face of adversity. Twilight is about how important it
is to have a boyfriend." - Stephen King
WolfEpix7 Welp. Another one of the billion virus's on the internet that I must rebuttal.
1. "First, they are no swear words!! I mean I heard in Hp they is swearing, like "h*ll" and "b*tch" I mean little kids are reading that!! Like 7 and 8 years olds!! It's crazy!!!111 In Twilight, there is no swearing beacuse it is a child safe book :)"
Okay, people curse in real life! Grow up! Plus, Hell isn't even that bad of a word. Molly calls Bellatrix a b*tch because she F**KING TRIED TO KILL HER DAUGHTER! What would you do?!
2. "HP is for kids only!! I mean Twilight is for all ages!!! I haven't read HP but I know only little kids read it!! Twilight is for everyone, my 10 year old cousin is reading it n my grandma is reading it too!!!"
.... "for kids only" .... Ha! This is cute. Have you not seen the people of all ages going to Comic Con and other places like that dressed up as Harry Potter characters? My 9 year old little sister is reading Harry Potter and understands it, but she's an advanced reader. She read the LotR books in a year. My 60 year old grandma loves and reads the HP books, and so does my 50 year old teacher, my 16-21 year old cousins, and people my age. HP is for all ages, and Twilight is not. It talks about *cough cough* ... that thing... and teen pregnancy. So let's all just let our 10 year old cousins read it, okay? *sarcasm* Also, don't make an article saying why Twilight is better than Harry Potter, if you HAVEN'T READ HARRY POTTER!
3. "People die in Hp!!!!!!! That's wrong! Dying is bad but Hp treats it LIke its okay. In twilight no one dies, only bad peoples do and that's okay because they are bad. in hp Bad people AND good people die. That is wrong wrong. and the books are sad, my friend told me!!"
Well, welcome to reality. Good people die. The Harry Potter series takes place during a war, so obviously people on both sides will die. In Twilight, no one except bad guys die, but that just makes it seem unrealistic. Its readers won't experience the pain that Potterheads felt when Sirius or Remus died (oops spoilers) and they'll be saying things like what you said. Good people die. Get used to it. Also, because the books are sad, we get emotionally connected to the characters. Harry Potter is not a comedy story (even though there are plenty of parts that made me laugh for days), and it has moments that are memorable... and made us cry... *sniff* RIP Dobby..
4. "Hp is boring. I mean seriously I tries reading the first book n got borred in 5 mins. Yes, is that boring. and I heard that that the ending is crappy. But in TWILIGHT, its all exciting and has romance!!!!!!! and action!!!!!"
*Spits out butterbeer* What?! Harry Potter is boring? I'll give you that the first chapter might not be that interesting your first time reading the series, but don't just a whole franchise by the first five minutes of you reading the books. Harry Potter has action, drama, death, feels, romance, comedy, and teaches us life lessons in a interesting way. The characters are compelling and make you feel as though they're real! Twilight, on the other hand... well, if you take all the bad, cringey, awful romance out of it, you get a girl who moved to a rainy town. THE END. Now I gotta go get more Butterbeer, thanks for that...
5. "The movies r obviusly better! I mean kristen stewart, robert pattinson and taylor lautner are very very talented!! compared to hp, they are NOT!"
Now, I can't really argue about the movies since I've only seen the first Twilight film and all the HP films, but from what I've seen, the acting in the Twilight films are terrible. The HP trio were younger than 13 when they started filming Harry Potter, and they had more emotion packed into their performances in the first movie than all the actors in the Twilight films did combined. Dan, Rupert, and Emma, not to mention Alan Rickman, Tom Felton, Emma freaking Thompson AND MAGGIE SMITH are all much more talented than Kristen Stewert and Taylor. (Robert Pattenson is a talented actor, but I think his performance in Twilight was caused because he hated the series.)
6. "The characters are stupid and boring while in Twilight it is not!!"
The freak are you talking about?! You haven't even read the Potter books how would you know?! Luna, Draco, Harry, Hermione, Dumbledore, Minerva , EVERYONE in Harry Potter has much more character than all the characters in Twilight combined. I'll admit that Alice is an okay character in Twilight, but everyone else is bland and has predictable motives.
See you at King's Cross,
A Harry Potter lover.
(also, f**k you edward you freaking stalker)
MadeyeMoody How do you know that the characters in Harry Potter are worse when you only read five minutes of the book? And people dying in Harry Potter Makes actually worth watching! How boring would it be if no one but Voldemort and the death eaters died? Then there would be nothing to write about! I mean dude, you make absolutely no sense at all. the way I see it, you just proved why Harry Potter is better than Twilight!
Pottahead So I have low battery and I don't have the time to write that much-screw it ill write the whole thing.
Pottahead 1
Pottahead 1.There are only a few times in hp when characters swore and hp is 10+ and i dont think that a kid havent heard a single swear in their whole life and twilight has some things kids shouldnt read abt really.2.No ur wrong. My gidparents daughter is around 23 and still likes hp.3.Should i remind you that everyone dies?Ppl die every day(get it?:)).Since you said this i assume that you wait for mr.sparkles to give you eternal life and live happily ever after. And none of the hp character except voldy died in vain like neville said abt harry and dont forget "for a great mind death is but the next adventure".4.Excuse me but exiting-?I personally choose REAL action.I bet you didnt even buy a hp book.5.Again,excuse me?Robert Pattison played in hp too and said that he would rather playing Cedric than edward.I mean i understand him.Id rather playing a 17 brave teenager than a 113 sparkly boy.And have you ever seen any interviews?Robert really HATES twilight more than any person ive even seen.6.Stupid heh?Have you seen anyone killing themselves bc someone leaved them?Have you?Ill take snape as example.I personally dont consider him a really good character bc he was a bully and thats not good but ill use this example:snape loved lily but lily didnt know snape and when lily died he dedicated his live to protect harry and dumbledore told him to kill him bc he was already poisoned and he was going to die soon anyways so if snape dared to do this voldemort wouldnt doubt his loyalty.
Pottahead To the well organized mind death is the next great adventure* sorry
Pottahead DYING IS NOT BAD!!!Ppl die every day bad or good. They die from natural causes, illnes, war, etc.Dying is natural and you cant stop it.You can die in literally every second.JK Rowlling showed that by saying that Voldemort didn't become immortal with all the horcruxes and power."To a well organized mind death is but the next great adventure" DUMBLEDORE HAS SPOKEN
Pottah_fandom I have no word... 1.hp characters only swore a few times and twilight is NOT a child safe book!!! 2.Didnt u say that hp is for kids only?Anyways ik a 23 y/o who still likes hp so no. 3.DYING IS NOT BAD!!Ppl die of natural causes, illness, hunger, war, etc.Everyone dies, bad of good, and you cant stop it.Jkr showed this by killing many good characte- who died in the war or before, fighting him,and helping to save the wizarding world-and voldemort-with all his horcruxes(it means splitting your soul by commiting a murder and saying a incantanion that idk to put a part of your soul in an object,so even if someone kills a parts of you tge other one/s will remain so you dont really die unless the other part/s is/are distroied) ,power and death eaters he didnt get to live forever.Nicholas Flamel didnt live forever either, even if he discovered the philosophers stone, which was destroied by Dumbledore after Harry fought Quirrell who was possessed by Voldemort and tried to steal the philosophers stone. If I remember well I think he said that he wouldnt want to live forever anyways but idk.And. a book isnt bad bc its sad.At least you can fell smth. And our Bella didnt kill herself-and you are are the one saying that dying is bad.Anyways, after you said this I assume that you are still waiting for mr.sparkles to give you etternal life like I do to my Hogwarts letter"To a well organized mind death is but the next great adventure". 4.Boring?So youd rather see sparkles than an epic fight?Anyways, judging after how slow most ppl read you should he somewhere on the privet drive-continue reading and you might really liked it.And I personally liked the ending. 5.Really?A dementor shows more emotion than Kristen Stewart.Robert Pattinson said that hes rather play Cedric Diggory than edward cullen. Taylor Launter-...?i dont need to explain. 6.Really?At least you can learn more from them.Snape loved Lily who didnt love him and ended up with the person he hated the most and after their death he dedicated his life to protect their son even if he hated Harry bc of how much he looked like his father-besides his eyes, which were his mothers.Edward left bella and she killed herself.Ron leaved and Hermione continued to look for horcruxes and helped Harry to save the world. And thats enough

First of all, Harry Potter has suspense and is not entirely predictable. How many of tu thought Quirrell was the bad guy in Philosopher's Stone instead of Snape? Not many, I think. How many of tu thought Sirius Black was evil in Prisoner of Azkaban? A lot. Now that my point is made, I'll ask tu this: how many of tu knew Bella cisne would choose Edward instead of Jacob? Possibly más than a half of tu if not ninety percent. Twilight is very predictable.
On that note, I'll say that Harry Potter has a very complex plot, spun together por interesting events unlike Twilight, where the only events...

Just a few points on certin parts of Twilight.
Bella Swan-
Oh dear me, Bella Swan. When one says her name, what comes to your mind? A young heroine? A clumsy sweetheart? o perhaps a useless idiot?
For me, the latter comes to my head. I don't like Bella as a person, and feel she is lacking in certin qualities I admire in the hero of a story. But, why should the main character be a good person in order for the storyline to be good? I myself, am a huge fan of the Harry Potter books, do not like Harry himself...

Twilight o Harry Potter? That's all I see here. And here are some "reasons" each of us came up with.
NOTE: I'm a HP fan, nothing against Twilight though.
Twilight
•Edward is hot.
ME: Umm...not really to me...wait..books o movies?
•JK Rowling failed at love.
ME: Lily Evans gave her life for Harry, and lots more.
•It has a amor triangle.
ME: Well...HP has amor triangles too. Hermione, Lavender, Ron. Harry, Ginny, Cho. Cho, Harry, Cedric. Severus, Lily, James. And LOADS more.
•Harry Potter is only about a fairy tale. It has a boy who raises a stick in the air and never dies.
ME: Well...vampires...

People keep on saying that Bella has no flaws. What about being clumsy? They also say that she's codependent, and she's anti-feminist. Aren't those flaws?
I just don't get why people say that Bella has no flaws, yet at the same time, they point out her flaws.
Also, they say that the Twilight libros have no plot. Please tell me why they have no plot.
Twilight: Bella meets Edward. They fall in amor and Bella meets the parents. James smells Bella and wants to kill her. Edward eventually kills Bella and reverses the vampire transformation.
New Moon: Edward leaves Bella. Jacob is apparently a werewolf....

2. Go up to a twilight fan, scream 'Bella! Bella! BELLA!!!! YOU'RE AWESOME!!!!' when they say 'I know right!' say 'Oh no I meant Bellatrix'
3. Ask them all preguntas about twilight that tu can think of. When they ask why say 'I'm doing a book reportar on the most boring libros of the world'

Dear characters of twilight,
Bella, please get a life. When peoples' amor leave them, they try to stay strong and keep fighting for what is worth it like Hermione did. They do not curl up in the fetal position and go numb for weeks like tu did.

I first found out about the Twilight novels about four years ago. I was at an event with a raffle, and I’d acquired several raffle tickets, and was looking through the raffle items. I came across copies of Twilight and Eclipse that were being raffled off. I’d never head of the Twilight Series before, as this was before they’d become really popular, and I loved reading, so I put my tickets into the raffle for Twilight.
I wasn’t really surprised when I won, since I’d put three tickets in, and only a few other people had entered.

Actually it's about what the loser got to do when they lose the bet rather than the bet itself(it was never really mentioned, anyway).
Here's what the articulo says:
Despite the chilly weather, we got to chat with Rupert while he waited for some friends. reciente reports about this famous redhead stripping down for his upcoming film "Cherrybomb" had Rupert grinning, "No, actually it was really cool, even though that was a very intense kind of scary moment. I was nervous but everything came out great."

So, tu like Harry Potter? What about Twilight?
I've read (and watched) them both.
When I was twelve I picked up a paper back cover of "Twilight" at the airport for something to read on my plane ride home. I did become quite infatuated with the series, tearing through the second, third and fourth books. I went on this fan club on my old account (which I have long since abandoned) and talked trash about Harry Potter, and talked about how wonderful Twilight was. I talked about Twilight like it was my Bible, and mocked Harry Potter (which I knew siguiente to nothing about). However, when I was thirteen,...

The main problem I had with the series is how Bella and Edward's amor is shown to be ideal, when in fact, it's unhealthy. Throughout the books, we do not get any insight on their hobbies and likes/dislikes. The problem with this is that we do not know if Edward o Bella share any common interests to be considered perfect for each other. In fact, they only had...

Twilight fans, this is a debate spot. So DEBATE. There are a few issues I see at this spot concerning tu guys:
- Saying it's better because Edward/Jacob is hot
Okay, those kind of arguments are instantly invalid, coz beauty is subjective and depends on one's perspective. Also, can tu actually SEE what they look like in the book series? Nope. And the inside of the person is what really counts.
