Basically, I'm making this articulo to see which is better: Harry Potter o Twilight?

I want Twilight and Harry Potter fans to come up with reasons why the book they prefer is better. I will be making a lista for each book's reasons. I will only post the valid reasons.

I will make sure they are valid and read each reason. I hope fans from both sides will make reasons here!

I'll start off both lists:

Harry Potter:
1. The plot is mentioned in the first chapter. Twilight's is mentioned at around 16 chapters in.

Twilight:
1. Twilight has sparked up arguments between twilighters and anti-twilighters. Some of them that I have witnessed are actually intellectual. Harry Potter fans... um...

Well, Twilighters can make a reason, I'm sure!

I will make sure to give credit to everyone who comes.

Respect everybody's opinion, please. If tu aren't going to be nice to each other, tu have two options:

1. Just post reasons, as long as they aren't against anyone. (e.g. So-and-So is yelling at me, so they must be immature! That must mean all Harry Potter/Twilight fans are immature!)
or...
2. tu will be asked to leave.

Let's try to keep it civil, debate, go ahead! Don't call people names, don't troll.

bri-marie The book I think is better, is the book I like more. I think this for the same reasons I (and everyone else) have been saying all over this spot.

bri-marie 1.This spot has been around for years. Very actively, I might add. There are two forums, dedicated soley for the purpose of saying why one is better than the other, and both have hundreds of reasons. The chance of someone saying something that hasn't been said before is nil. 2. This entire thing is an opinion. There is no fact that one is better, and there are no facts to back up the opinion of which is better. 3. Anything can be contradicted.

pokerface22 3. Harry Potter has a [better] plot and subplots. 4.It has several characters with depth, and aren't one-dimensional. 5. JK is not afraid to sacrifice the good guys 6. JKR researches her material, has good use of Latin and history within her books. Spells are named after Latin words and do what the Latin words do. Names of some characters give hints as to what that character is. 7. You can relate Harry Potter to WWII because of similarities. You could learn some history from the books. Some characters are loosly based off real life people Dumbledoor=Winston Churchill and Voldemort=Hitler Death eaters=Nazi's 8. Harry Potter teaches a good deal about prejudice and slavery with the use of different imaginative creatures (Which also required research to create) 9. Twilight is a fad and many fans are on it because of the Bandwagon effect (I used to like it, but for this reason) and because Robert Patterson is hot (in their opinion), but Harry Potter will be around forever, because we have turned it into a classic. 10. Twilight is too predictable and thrown horribly together. Harry Potter is not predictable and JK Rowling ties all knots and answers all questions. 11. Harry Potter teaches good values and relationships. There are no controlling abusive relationships and the hero can survive without their partner. 12. The female characters are strong and intelligent. Hermione doesn't NEED a boyfriend to be a strong good role model for girls everywhere. Although, who said Bella was a role model?
