well my opinion of why it's funny & popular is because if tu think about it how many Korean singers do tu know that are actually famous in the US? And along with that there isn't really any other video like it. PSY's Gangnam Style video has a billion vistas on YouTube (this I have checked) He has become "popular" because he did what no one else tried
