Courtney`s POV:The Warden was lean,mean,tall and strong.His instructions didn`t take long.He liked to yell alot.He got serioulsy mad at some of us.I knew that every man o woman was on their own.But when Duncan was around me,that term didn`t aply to him.Geoff seemed like a good guy,but when Duncan was around him,Geoff let his inner-self out.I feel like I don`t belong.I shouldn`t be here in the first place.It was one fight!One!It`s not like it`s gonna happen again!The Warden finally left after his warm,heart-felt greeting."He seems like a real joy."Duncan dicho grinning.His smile,smirk,or grin, always makes me feel like he`s okay.Not as bad as he seems.The training coarse had begun and Duncan and Geoff stayed with me the whole way.I tripped and fell a couple of times but Duncan helped me up every time.It felt weird for someone to help me."Thanks for all the help,but I`m fine without tu helping me."I dicho running for my life."I don`t care if tu need me o not.I`m staying right here with you."Duncan dicho running beside me.I rolled my eyes and ran faster.Duncan caught up with me and said,"I`ve ran from the cops plenty of times,so don`t tu think that tu can out-run me."I ran faster and faster until I reached the finish line.I saw Duncan behind me as he flopped to the ground.I fell to my knees and then my stomach."That was nothing."he choked out."yeah."I dicho breathing heavily.Duncan got up and held his hand out.I took his hand as he helped me up."You okay?"he asked.I nodded and turned my head to Geoff running towards us."Hey ya`ll."Geoff dicho bending over gasping for air."Whatcha doing?"Duncan asked."Dying."Geoff said.I looked down to see my hand still in Duncan`s hand.I quickly pulled away and Duncan just stood there smiling like crazy.After a while,everyone was at the finish line."GO AND GET TO BED!YA`LL ARE GONNA NEED IT!TOMORROW LADIES,WE GONNA START THE HARD STUFF."the Warden said."The hard stuff?"a man asked uneasy.WE all started to laugh and walk to the cabins."Ya`ll think that`s funny do ya?"the Warden asked."Back when I was in the war,we didn`t have no jokes."he siad.Duncan,Geoff and I turned around and started walking towards the cabins.I looked at Duncan and Geoff and both of them were copying the Warden silently saying 'Back when I was in the war....'
I started laughing then reached my bed."Good night Princess."Duncan said."Good night Courtney!"Geoff called."Good night Duncan.Good night Geoff."I said."Courtney,we look out for each other okay?Geoff,you and me.We look out for each other."Duncan said."I smiled at hime as he grinned.
