It depends on how you look at it. I work hard for much of what I have, but I also get excellent treatment by friends and family, sometimes what might be termed "preferential treatment," and that may be considered spoiled. If you are talking strictly material things, tho, then no, I am not spoiled.

I am with my family, not so much with my friends.

I'm spoilt to the max. My family isn't rich (I mean, heck, my mum gets paid hardly nothing and we get hundreds in benefits) but I always get the things I want. Even when I was little, I could always twist her around my little finger, even if it was a compromise. Nowadays, she just buys me things randomly and for birthday and Christmas because my wants have become so simple and cheap. But what I'm really spoilt with is food. My kitchen is junk food heaven and it's pretty much all for me. Some of it's for my mum (ie, the cheese) but apart from that it's an all-you-can-eat buffet. Plus, my mum waits on me had and foot. I barely leave me room all day online. She gets me breakfast, calls me down for lunch and my food'll be there for me, and calls me down when my TV show is on with my "stuff" which is basically all the junk I eat in the evening. My Grandma spoils me as well. She's not quite so waiting on me because her TV is like one step to the kitchen but she feeds you and feeds you and feeds you. My cousins get away with murder. I never do things like they do because I am, unbelievably, quite well-behaved. I'll just sit and watch a Disney film and get her to fetch me some toast in the morning and then grease up the pans for when I make a cake because it's not Grandma's if you don't make a cake.

I'm an only child, and only grandchild (on one side of my family)...but I'm not and never was a brat. I always had everything I wanted, but I was always grateful.

HA no. Not even a little! Don't get me wrong my mums a complete doll and she pretty much offers to everything for me but when it comes to anyone in my family getting their own way it's a fight to the death. Plus we're pretty tight for money at the moment so I'm working 40+ hours a week.

By family yes. I've never been taught to cook, I've never been really forced to do any chores. My parents never really tried to nurture independence, self-reliance or helpfulness in me. My parents were perfectly OK with my undesire to deal with my younger brother( whom I never really loved or hold dear, speaking honestly) and they allowed me to live almost exactly the same way I lived before his birth.

But only amongst my family (especially my mom xD)
