You know, technically speaking it was "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" that sparked the Disney Renaissance via TouchStone? But yeah...Little Mermaid is the more iconic film.

I chose Snow White cause it was the start of disney which would be what we're celebrating but truth be told I agree with princesslullaby's logic. I'd like to see them both.

I guess it would depend on what the anniversary is for. I agree with both alafastanzio and princesslullaby. Snow White would be good for honoring Disney's beginnings, but Ariel would be good for the anniversary of the Disney Renaissance.

To answer your question, alafastanzio, I don't know what the net big anniversary is. Snow White was released in 1937, so that anniversary was two years ago. The Little Mermaid was released in 1989, and I think Sleeping Beauty was released in 1959, so I guess Disney could celebrate the anniversaries of those two movies this year.

I think The Little Mermaid was my first trip to the movie theatres, too! I was just over a year old at the time. Of course I don't remember it, but that's what my parents tell me.

my first cinema visit was to see The Lion King. Anyways, I think Snow White or possibly Ariel, because both of them are very iconic looking characters from very significant films to the disney corporation.

I never went to the cinemas as a kid but I saw treasure planet alright. Anyway you all have a point here but Snow White is alot older than The Little Mermaid no offensive but Snow white was made in 1939 which is like over 60 years ago or is it 70??.And the little mermaid is like 20 years old??
