I don't know a lot about real life royals, but I've heard that Grace Kelly was lovely

Because 1) She is already deceased so we know how her story ends. 2) She had a humble beginning/didn't start royal. 3) She founded AMADE Mondiale, a Monaco-based non-profit organization that promotes and protects the "moral and physical integrity" and "spiritual well-being of children throughout the world, without distinction of race, nationality or religion and in a spirit of complete political independence." 4) She had such an exciting life and 5) Was a real-life role model by many standards.

There are so many great historic women...i can´t choose.. but i would go with an ubscure one i suppose.

I'd love the see Sissi (Elisabeth Amalie Eugenie von Wittelsbach) as a Disney Princess, I think her story would be very interesting.
But Grace Kelly's life would be great too.

Princess Grace was a real class act, as well as being extremely beautiful and compassionate. I agree with laylastepford!

I don't care about real life monarchy. I'm a little interested in the Tudors and Marie Antoinette. But not Princess Diana or Kate Middleton. I don't know who Grace Kelly is, I don't where she comes from and I don't know anything about her life. Yet I keep hearing her name on say yes to the dress and how 2015's Cinderella'a wedding dress was inspired by her or something. But I never knew she was a princess until now. In the past, I thought Grace Kelly was a man who designed wedding dresses.

^ She was a famous American movie star in the '50s who married Prince Rainier of Monaco, thus becoming a princess herself. link is so iconic that women today still want something like it to wear to their own weddings, which is why she's constantly brought up on Say Yes to the Dress (same with Jackie Kennedy-Onassis). In her life, she organized several charitable efforts, most of which benefited children. Tragically, she died in a car crash in the early '80s.

^ To add to audreybrooke's point, the movies Grace Kelly was famous for were Alfred Hitchcock films in which she was the star. That's what she originally got known for and how she got famous. It's also notorious because Hitchcock saw her as a princess (long before she was) and after she got married, he had a hard time replacing her and actresses have talked about trying to fill her shoes in his films. (She had a natural grace and beauty that presented well on screen.) After she got married, she stopped acting and did a lot of philanthropic work, especially towards children as audreybrooke mentioned.

Sissi! Finally we'd get an official Germanic princess! Even better if she looks like Romy Schneider.
