I love both of them, I'm just giving this vote to the Jungle Book cause I know it's not gonna win, though objectively Mermaid is the better made film.

I like The Jungle Book, but I find it to be a little overrated and is nothing fantastic. However, I am looking forward to the live-action remake. The Little Mermaid is not only my favorite Disney movie, but it's also tied with The Wizard of Oz for my favorite movie PERIOD!

^Indeed. It's not overrated at all imo. Maybe it was a bit over-promoted back in the 90s? But nowadays nobody ever speaks of it.

I watched The Jungle Book (maybe once?) as a kid... I liked Baloo, and nothing else about the movie. When I saw TLM, I loved the score, the songs, the characters, the plotline--- every single piece of it fit together so well!

I love both, but I just find The Little Mermaid more interesting to watch, but I find The Jungle Book to be more nostalgic

Didn't you know? Overrated now means "anything I don't like" ;) just like 'literally' has a totally different definition than what the dictionary says.

that's why I always hear Sleeping Beauty get called overrated when it's laughably far from that. Like TJB it gets some praise but generally people preferring the 90s and modern movies.
