I just don't see any of the animal movies working out well in live-action...That and i don't really like the casting of the jungle book, it's so fucking laughable (the kid playing Mowgli is cute though, and Ben Kingsley as Bagheera is the only casting choice that makes sense. otherwise...).

And Pooh...I love Pooh dearly but I just don't know what will they do to it...If it turns into a Smurfs-like film, with Christopher Robin being the only human amidst the cgi characters, bleh...

Just... WHY???

I wish Emma would retire already. It sucks, I'd love a live action BATB done right. I'd prefer one based on Robin McKinley's awesome book, though (which I might add Disney totally ripped off).

Leery of the Mulan one too. Ten bucks says they're going to portray Mulan the way they do on OUAT or in Pocket Princesses, they way everyone who doesnt understand her portrays her in art and stuff: a rough and tumble tomboy who has no time for girly crap and loves to fight.

Along with Winnie the Pooh and The Jungle Book. At least BatB and Mulan adaptations make sense for live action -- these are just coming out of nowhere. Seems they'll rely WAY to much on CGI, and the CG used in the recent live-action remakes doesn't look so good.

Audrey, If you're interested the French did a new BatB movie a few years ago, basing it more on the original fairy tale than on the Disney version. I'd def. recommend it.

@AudreyFreak have you seen Jean Cocteau's version of Beauty and the Beast from the 1940s? It's in French, but it's easy to find it with subtitles and it's PHENOMENAL. Also, yes, Disney totally ripped off Robin Mckinley's version.

Dumbo is going to rely way too much on CGI.

I own "Beauty," the Robin McKinley book. I think I've read the majority of her fiction. It's a shame they NEVER credited her for what they took, which is kind of why DIsney's B & the B is still not my favorite Disney movie. "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark..." to quote Shakespeare.

Yeah, I'd recommend the 1940s B& the B, or the Fairy Tale Theatre version, or the French 2014 version, Audreyfreak. Save some of your sanity, lol.

Winnie The Pooh live action scares me.

It's my favourite disney movie and i'm really worried they'll screw it up or change it. I'm not really looking forward to Dumbo or Winnie the Pooh either.

Just... why? Winnie the Pooh? The Jungle Book? Dumbo? Disney... You know animals can't act, right? And... oh, you're just going to use CGI aren't you... You lazy mother----------

Couldn't they just leave it and Dumbo in the realm of animation where they belong?
