Here's what I hate about B&TB haters. If he had stayed a beast, people would've called Belle sick and into bestiality. Since he became a prince, haters say she's shallow and only cares about looks. She can't win either way.

That said, I believe that Belle would've kissed the Beast anyway because it was true love.

I don't hate Beauty and the Beast, but I often find these comments in discussions about the movie and I guess it's interesting to dwell upon. It just happens that at the point of their relationship when they might give the next step, all the things with Maurice and Gaston. Who knows, probably if she had stayed a little longer...
