13. Aurora
After she was granted the gift of beauty and song, perhaps what Merryweather was going to give her was the gift of personality. Although she has a healthy number of fans, the reality is 18 minutos of screentime combined with zero character complexity equals a princess that's bound to be at the bottom of most lists.

"I find Aurora so enchanting. She's elegant, playful, dreamy, and very mysterious because of her lack of screen time. " -audreybrooke

"Life tends to just happen to Aurora. She doesn't do anything to her life. So while she is pretty to look at, I find her to be uninteresting." -JungleQueen13

12. Snow White
Snow White suffers from the fact that her movie is seriously dated. Her character was created on the basis of escapism, so while she certainly has charm and a más bountiful personality than the anterior princess, she still tends to run a little flat and her constant upbeat attitude could have only been created por Disney- no real girl can relate to that. Her pasado de moda, antigua charm just doesn't hold up to the modern girl.

"Her personality is one of the most distinct and iconic, mimicked (in good jest o spitefully) frequently in other medias. Her Pollyanna-like optimism, ever-cheerful demeanor and innocence are iconic. But she's also pretty bossy and seems a little insecure, which makes her well-rounded."- AudreyFreak

"Snow's a little selfish when she assumes to take over the dwarfs' house and make up all new rules for them. That was a touch arrogant. But on the whole, besides her bossy side, she is cute and innocent." -8804

11.Anna
In an age where the Snow White era should be far behind us, Anna drums up a character trait that seems bizarrely out of place- an open demand for romance. Anna encompasses the kind of desperation for amor that struck a bad chord with a lot of audiences, especially since she seems to switch her affections from man to man without a segundo thought. There's no doubt that her awkwardness and loneliness and need for amor is relatable which many fanpop fans seemed to love. But to the rest, the way she goes about trying to find amor just leaves her looking naive, selfish, and uncaring.

"She is exactly the kind of female character I hate to see. Oh, she is spunky, and tries to do the right thing, never mind that she is totally incompetent. And look how dorky she looks with her hair messed up, and how clumsy she is (I have nothing against clumsiness if it is relevant to the story, but in this case it is just used as a token character flaw). Plus there is no reason for her to be that naïve. It is not like Elsa is the only other person in the palace, there are other people around (and I presume teachers).
Plus, I hate how she is all "I want romance! Now!" I thought we left THAT behind in the classic era." -Swanpride

"At first, I thought she was nice, but there was nothing unique o original about her, but now I absolutely amor her. She's selfless, quirky and an all-around wonderful, relatable and realistic character. There's so much to look up to about her. I like that young girls can look at her and not be pressured to look up to her and not feel pressured to look/behave perfectly all the time, but at the same time she's so admirable."- magnoliainmay

10.Ariel
One of the most controversial and talked about princesses on fanpop, Ariel seems to take an extreme to either end, this time taking a huge dip from her former high popularity. Either she's admired for her determination, spunkiness, rebelliousness, and the fact that she has flaws -- o it's those same traits that condemn her as their viewed as selfishness, irresponsibility, and immaturity.

"What is loudest around this club are protests about the selfishness of her dream, the bratty defiance she shows in an attempt to take back her own agency from her father's abuse, the fact that she goes to a sea witch after her father ruined all of her possessions, and the fact that she falls for a person she does not know right away, and attempts to leave her family and transition to a new life with dicho prince." -8804

"She shows how if tu want your dream that tu need to do whatever it takes and how tu will face sacrifices when tu are going after your dream. tu might have to mover away from your family and go to a strange new place. I also amor how she started the whole pro-active disney female formula. She doesn't wait around for things to happen and never let's anyone bring her down. " -Kataralover

9.Merida
One thing noting about Merida is she beat Ariel por ONE point, so I'd say they're essentially tied. Without being too repetitious, I'm going to leave this one short. fanpop has the same opinion of her as Ariel- she's either selfish, spoiled, and inconsiderate, o total badass heroine that steps out of the princess mold.

"I think people tend to take extreme positions on their opinion of Merida. Some people view her as a feminist-friendly, anti-princess, anti-romantic character while others view her as spoiled rotten and that changing her mother is unforgivable. It seems that some of these opinions are on the wane but it still pops up from time to time. The point is is that each side is only partially right but don't paint an accurate picture of her. " -Digoenes

8. Pocahontas
It's obvious why Pocahontas is loved, when she is. She's brave, strong, a compassionate leader, and is dedicated to bringing peace to her tribe. But she also serves as a desecration to her real counterpart and her indecisiveness and dull personality in the segundo act can be detrimental to her ranking.

"Her free-sprited and strong willed nature has always intrigued. She is one of the bravest princesses. Many find her boring, but she was attempting to stop a WAR people! Her selflessness is amazing as well." -CraZy_rawR

"Pocahontas, while certainly one of the más feminist-friendly princesses, unfortunately also suffers from a lackluster plot that drags not only her personality down but also the characters and action around her. Not to mention the half-hearted voice actuación Irene Bedard gives." -princesslullaby

7. Elsa
While Elsa seems to have a strong connection with those with anxiety and depression, it can also be argued that any claim of personality she has is a projection from those previously mentioned. Elsa seems to be más of a caricature of someone with mental and social issues than an actual independently standing character, but this allows her to be interpreted por the viewer and be más broad in her appeal.

"As someone who has delt with anxiety for a very long time I really like Elsa. I can relate to that feeling of running away. I believe her success is because so many people feel they have inner demons and could relate." -dancing_dear

"What can I say? Jennifer Lee wrote Elsa this way: as an underdeveloped woman, scared stiff por her ice powers, to the point where she can't even have a relationship with her own sister. During the course of the movie, Elsa treats her sister so poorly, that it was extremely painful for me to watch. " -8804

6. Jasmine
Jasmine's verbal contention against the arrogant suitors who try to win her is a strong selling point of her popularity. She's a fiery female figure in a time and place where women were dominated por men and usually had very little say (and sometimes still don't). jazmín can be credited from a feminist point for being very vocal about the grievances against her and pointing out that she is no prize o conquest, something female characters don't often do. However, her actions don't speak as loud as her words and she falls trap to the damsel in distress trope anyway.

"She is a strong female figure in a movie that takes place in the middle east where generally women had little to no say. She is clever and doesn't even take crap from Aladdin." -dancing_dear

"I also can't help but think that while I support her desire for controlling her own life, I am not sure if I approve of her methods to reach her goals. Can't she deny her suitors without humiliating them, they are all princes after all, she is lucky that none of them retaliated politically. And why doesn't she study the laws herself for loopholes? She could have tried to convince her father to change the law, she basically only had to tell him that she can do it. And she constantly overestimates herself." -Swanpride

5. Tiana
Tiana's workaholic, try til tu die personality is a hit o miss with fans. Considering she's on the higher end of this list, it seems that más fans appreciate her working hard for her goals and not letting anything get her down, especially as a poor black woman attempting to run her own business in the 1920's. But sometimes she is called out for being downright mean and treating Naveen poorly, as well as giving a contradicting message of the importance of putting a man before her work por the end of the film. en general, general though, despite a small number of dissatisfied viewers, she's seen as a very inspirational character.

"She's so wonderfu and inspirational in the beginning, then just becomes derogatory, flat, disappointing, and downright mean." -princesslullaby

"Tiana just ATTEMPTING to do this in a time when it was considered radical and a completely stupid [even dangerous] idea to do so, is very inspiring to me. She also worked her entire life just to get her restaurant, and tu can see how driven she is to do this. That in itself is inspiring; working hard to get what tu want and make your dreams come true, even if considered impossible por many, is so important. " -justinfangrrl

4.Cinderella
The appreciation for cenicienta seems to have risen steadily over the years. Her never-ending patience and kindness towards others combined with her grounded and steady personality is inspirational to those going through a similar situation as her. She did everything she could to improve her life for herself without causing harm to others. She's still a little pasado de moda, antigua to the modern woman, but highly the most relateable out of the
classics.

"The emotional strength she has to take abuse and never become a bitter, vengeful person is so admirable, and I honestly don't think all of the heroines would be able to make it as long as she did. She's the strongest princess, and she only cracked when she had at last reached her breaking point when all hope seemed lost. She's not the ditzy dreamer many people incorrectly brush her off as- she's quite a grounded realist. " -AudreyFreak

3.Rapunzel
The incredible emotional strength Rapunzel carries with her and her determination to overcome her fears is the main reason for her high rank. Rapunzel is to the modern woman what cenicienta couldn't fulfill- through an abusive situation, she manages to actually break free of her own accord and tail after her dream, accomplishing what she'd always dreamed of and finding amor along the way.

"I think Rapunzel is an amazing role model, especially for those who live in abusive situations. While it is admirable to think of other's before yourself, there definitely is a line and I think Rapunzel is able to navigate it beautifully. She is incredibly considerate of others, whether it is her mother, pascal, Flynn, the townspeople o even some misceláneo guys at a tavern. So much so that it is a little bit naive (thank god it' a disney movie). Overall, I think she's a wonderful character, who has just the right balance of selflessness, optimism, intelligence, and bravery. One of my favorites." -Aang_Lite

2. Belle
Belle, having a gentle personality that yearns for something more, doesn't allow herself to be treated badly and stands up to Gaston and the Beast when others hadn't. Sometimes criticized as being too perfect, Belle still seems to resonate with fans over her passion for libros and inability to connect with anyone in her town despite her multiple attempts to do so.

"She was willing to give up her freedom for her father's life. She continued to give the Beast a chance because she knew of the kind corazón that was buried underneath his horrible temper. She refused to be Gaston's wife because he was pig-hearted." -Beastlysoul25

1.Mulan
If her simply being kickass and Valiente were the soul reasons for mulan winning number one, many other princesses could have taken this spot. But there's más than that to Mulan; it's how she changes from an unmotivated, misunderstood, clumsy girl who hasn't quite caught up to her peers into a courageous, nimble warrior that makes her own decisions and takes great risks that makes mulan so popular. People want to see themselves turn out like Mulan- to go from a nobody to a somebody is a desire most everyone has. mulan is an inspiration to that dream and throughout the movie we see mulan discover her own strengths rather than those expected of her.
I tried to express how I felt because I wanted to have a favorito! Princes lista so bad... I know people will disagree with my lista but to each their own ^-^

11. John Smith
Believe it o not, I do not hate John Smith, not anymore at least. I actually feel bad for placing him here since he gets so much flack nowadays but I'm afraid the other Princes just appeal to me more. I do respect him, he has redeemable qualities and his several sacrifices are admirable. But his arrogant nature gets on my nerves, what is he so arrogant about? So cocky that he even assumes Pocahontas likes him. He is bland and...

I think all of the Princes are decent looking even if I'm not all that attracted to most of them. I know Hans is not a disney Prince but I decided to include him.

12. Prince
I'm sorry Prince, I amor tu but I can't get passed those red lips. He's just too feminine looking. But I must admit, he has better features than Charming.

11. Charming
I think Charming has good looks on his side. I amor his smile, a smile can go a long way. But he's still veryyyyyyyy generic looking. He looks like he could be Ken's twin brother.

10. John Smith
I can tell John Smith is good looking, with those...

Click link to read my opinion on the classic era princesses and movies

My 2nd articulo in these series, this is about the Renaissance Era Princesses and their movies, this might be a lengthy articulo since it covers 5 princesses and 5 movies, anyway unlike the classic era princesses and cine my opinion on the renaissance era princesses and cine changed a lot.

Let's start with the movies:

The Little Mermaid:

This movie was my 7th favorito! DP Movie before I rewatched the movie, now it has moved down to 6th, but I still think the movie is amazing, the animación is very bland, the songs are...

Coolsinger198 and I both had the same idea ironically to write a fairy articulo to the relations of the hadas to the princesses. But sadly her articulo had trouble posting, so I want to give her some credit for this since she had the same idea as me.

I watched Tinker Bell: The Pirate Fairy not too long hace and I absolutely loved it, especially Baby Tic Toc. Then I started noticing some similarities between the hadas and the princesses in further notice through the film. Quite frankly some even looked like the princesses. Although I caught the indifference through disney heroines and sidekicks...

I feel like I don't write enough artículos on here. *cough* Lemme rephrase that, I don't write enough serious artículos on here. XD I just amor writing, and just felt like escritura about each princess. So, I'm going to do a little series articulo about my opinion on each DP, in order from my least favorito! to favorite. So, aye, here we go. c:

My Original Thoughts
The first time watching the movie was when I was a child, and I only remembered bits and pieces, so let's start from when I first remember watching Cinderella, about five years ago.

I admired Cindy for being wishful, hopeful, etc. When I...

The strangely creative icon that MacytheStrange made for Team Tiana.
At first, there was Disney. At their time, the classics; Snow White, Cinderella, and Aurora have been immesnely popular in their times. Then the renaissance princesses came; Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, and Pocahontas. In later years, the unique and intelligent mulan has also joined. But before Tangled, Brave, and the most popular: Frozen... there was one film which after 20 years, brought back magic, family, and the true vision of the later Walt disney Animated Studios company. The Princess and the Frog graced the silver screen, and Tiana won oro in our hearts. The bumblebees of Team Tiana present...

I amor Snow White because she doesn't let the hardships get to her and keep a positive outlook. She believes that tu are the one who can "fill the word with sunshine", you're the one with the power to make yourself happy. She is sweet and gentle, but can be energetic and firm when needed to be. She feels the need to be loved. That shows the abuse took...

I was excited for this film because it seemed like a return to form for disney after a fairly lackluster and forgettable post-renaissance period but sadly I was disappointed por it. To start Mary-Sue is thrown around not only on the disney Princess club, but almost everywhere whenever it comes down to the disney Princesses. The correct definition to Mary-Sue is a perfect female character who doesn't try to be perfect, but naturally is. Like a Renaissance Man, yet doesn't fail at least while trying.
Some have been saying Classics, o Walt Disney's princesses, Belle and Rapunzel are Mary-Sues, plus more. I very much disagree.

The most common areas to be considered Mary-Sues are:
Snow White
Cinderella
Aurora
Ariel (on the occasion)
Belle
Rapunzel

As I was creating my iconos for Team Merida, I realised exactly why I loved this girl. As a result, I decided to write an articulo with 5 reasons why everybody should amor Merida/Brave

1. Valiente was the first pixar film that had a female protagonist.

Pixar is a hugely successful company, but it took about 8 years since they first started making films for them to make a movie where the main character was a girl. Before Valiente was made, I was slightly annoyed at pixar - most of it's films didn't even pass the Bechdel test. I amor Valiente because it finally featured an awesome female character.

What do tu mean it took 8 years to have a female protagonist? That's so dumb!
What...
