Dear Diary,
Tomorrow is the big day. My wedding day. Most girls would be happy, excited and would have mariposas in their stomachs, but not me. I feel dead inside. Everything about the wedding is perfect. My dress has crystal beads sewn on the bodice, long cordón, encaje sleeves, and a long train and matching veil. The wedding is even at a huge cathedral. It is a wedding fit for a Princess, and I wish I could run away....
The wedding went off without a hitch. Of course Auguste was completely charming. He stood up during our reception and gave the most heartfelt brindis, pan tostado to me. It shocked me at first that he knew an intimate detail about me, like my favorito! poem, but then it dawned on me that he probably asked my Mother. He led me to what was to be our bedroom and it was lit with candles, and there were rose petals on the bed. In the corner, there was a man softly playing a violin. I gave him a concerned look and he kissed my forehead. He told me the man was blind, and he simply hired him to create a más romantic atmosphere. He poured two glasses of champagne. He asks me if I want to dance, and so we dance. I am light headed from the champagne so I lose my balance and he catches me and giggles and says "can't hold your alcohol, huh?" and with that he picks me up and twirls me around in his arms. And for the longest time we just stare into each others eyes. He sits down on the cama and takes my hair down, and runs his hands through it. And then he looks so deep into my eyes it felt like he was looking right into my soul, and he whispered "I amor you". I couldn't stand it any longer...I took his face into my hands and pulled him close to me and kissed him. And then he made amor to me...and it was...perfect.
