Some facts:
More info on the link.

Armed with a semi-automatic rifle, 17 year old Kyle Riittenhouse crossed state lines to get to the BLM protests in Kenosha. He was caught on video opening fire in the middle of the street at protesters, shotting one victim in the head and another in the chest, killing them. They were aged 26 and 36. Another person was also shot and remains in hospital.

According to witness accounts and video footage, police apparently let the gunman walk past them and leave the scene with a rifle over his shoulder and his hands in the air as members of the crowd were yelling for him to be arrested because he had shot people. He then drove back to his house in Illinois and went to bed.

Rittenhouse's facebook is reportedly full of posts supporting the police and condemning Black Lives Matter. He has been charged with murder as of a few hours ago.

On his TV show, Carlson suggested that the murders were understandable given the property damage in the city. He stated: “Kenosha has devolved into anarchy because the authorities in charge of the city abandoned it. People in charge from the governor of Wisconsin on down refused to enforce the law... So are we really surprised that looting and arson accelerated to murder? How shocked are we that 17-year-olds with rifles decided they had to maintain order when no one else would?"

Some commentary:
Antifa doesn't kill, Black Lives Matter doesn't kill. The protest he arrived at was mostly chanting and signage, calling for a fairer world - one in which the State doesn't inflict disproportionate violence on people due to the colour of their skin.

All factors point to this being an act of terrorism: the use of violence (here, multiple murders) against random people to intimidate and/or "take vengeance" against BLM protestors. Carlson is effectively blaming the dead victims for merely being associated with BLM rather than the guy that just murdered them, saying he was just trying to "maintain order" (by shooting people at point blank range apparently). It seems to have been a premeditated murder, too - he was wearing latex gloves to keep the gun residue off his hands.

There's no form of anti-racism protest that the hard-right will tolerate or consider non-violent, because it's a challenge to their 'way of life' (the status quo that advantages white people). Meanwhile there's no white supremacist, anti-leftist violence that conservative commentators won't find a way to justify - even though this type of violence has killed multiple people. They also attempted to justify James Alex Fields Jr deliberately running over peaceful protesters in Charlottesville, killing Heather Heyer and injuring many others, because "anyone would crack after a while". Curiously, they never apply the same logic to BLM protesters breaking a few windows in anger after watching yet another person being killed by the State who is meant to serve them.

Anyway yeah no biggie, just one of the most widely-viewed TV show hosts in the country defending terrorism and murder.

As an aside, some of the headlines I've seen: "Kenosha Deadly Protests", "3rd Night of Protests in Kenosha Turn Deadly". No implication that a right-wing extremist travelled 20 miles to shoot protestors dead. Imagine the headlines if a Muslim perpetrator shot at a crowd.

Edit: Sorry I ain't gonna reply properly til next week bc life stuff

I feel like you often can't connect with a news story unless you appreciate that real individuals are affected: here's link mentioning the victims. After the gunman started spraying bullets at the crowd, hitting 36-year-old Joseph Rosenbaum in the head, 26-year old Anthony Huber ran up to him with only his skateboard to stop him from shooting others. He was shot in the chest by the gunman and died.

A link to help Anthony's partner, Hannah, pay for funeral costs.
