Chapter 1 - Misfortune (Blaire)
Nothing is normal in this world. And if tu think you've seen everything , then you're wrong! How could I contribute to the most difficult case with the well-known detective L? In spite of my cute look and fashion style, I can say that I've got amazing deductive skills. Thank goodness that they were discovered.
It all started when I was 10. I used to live in New York, but my father had other plans about that.
"Lillian Llewellin, tu have to make a few sacrifices," he always said.
Even if I was just a child, I was annoyed like hell whenever I heard this. My mother was no better. She always encouraged my father. I can't say how much I disliked that.
Anyway, I had no choice. I had to go with them to England. We were going to live near King's cruzar, cruz Station. I am so filled with joy. Soon, I had to go to school. Now I just hated the fact that my father was such a prestigious business-man. I couldn't stop thinking about how much I wanted back home.
Every passing día was the same. As September passed, I was getting closer and closer to the possibility of developing some mental illness. Soon it was October. It didn't take long for it to pass, either, and it seemed like almost just a couple of days later it was November. I was in no better state.
One Tuesday, I was returning from school. I was thinking of several misceláneo things: homework, the siguiente día and my old friends.
Soon, I arrived on the side-street which led to my house. It was an old, two-storey house, probably Victorian. On this calle were no apartment buildings, only houses very similar to mine.
I looked up at the cloudy sky. I saw smoke. At first, nothing crossed my mind, nut then I noticed that the smoke was coming from somewhere very close to my house. I hurried up to that place which turned out to actually be my house.
"Oh, no..." I muttered.
The house was surrounded on it's sides por tall and old trees, so I couldn't see what was going on. Now, I was running towards the building. After reaching it, I saw an image which still haunts me.
Out of each window from the ground floor came flames, curling towards the sky and the upper floor. A chilling scream came automatically out of my mouth. Some of the neighbors heard me and, seeing the flames, some screamed, as well.
Soon, the flames were being extinguished por some jet of water coming from several feet to my right. The firemen were already here, I had no idea when they had the time to come. minutos turned into seconds. I didn't notice the passing of time anymore. Everything was, in some way, dead to me.
Some people dressed in white ran into the now extinguished house. They pushed two bunks on wheels inside with them. They came out a few minutos later. The bunks were now occupied por two human-sized black plastic bags. I didn't have the gut to think what was inside them.

The siguiente day
As soon as my aunt heard of the fire, she came and the first thing she told me was: "Don't worry, sweetie, I'll take care of everything." I felt a bit better that somebody was trying to help, but I also thought that it was quite a stupid thing to say... I knew that my parents were not going to come back. This whole situation was too complicated to be taken care of. They were dead.
But, I did appreciate (and I still do) that she did not hide anything from me. She managed to convince the police to tell her the cause of the fire. They refused to tell me, but my aunt was a lawyer, and not only was I not thinking clearly, but I was an orphan.
She told me that it most likely started because of some meal which was forgotten on the stove. For a second, I wondered what my mother and father were doing at home. Then, I remembered one of the last things they told me. My father told me yesterday morning that he was expecting a very important video-call from some influent businessman in his inicial office. He had to have my mother with him, as well. She used to keep track of any deal he has ever done, so she was crucial to him. She was probably preparing cena when the businessman called and forgot the comida on the stove...
I started crying for the umpteenth time. It was all so stupid. They died because of some food... I can't believe that I was angry at them... I looked at my aunt, the only relative I still had. She was my mother's sister, and they looked alike quite a lot. She looked just as upset as I did. She could barely hold her tears, it was obvious.
"Do tu want to come and live with me?" she asked, suddenly.
Since my grandparents died several years hace and my father had no siblings, it was obvious that no matter what my answer would've been, I'd still go with my aunt.
"Yes," I answered.
My aunt tried to smile.
"Very well. I'll go and make some arrangements," she dicho before going towards one of the corridor's many doors.
A few days later, I was already in Winchester. My aunt moved in here más than fifteen years ago. She was quite a prestigious lawyer there. It was very painful to adapt to this town. Only the fact that I was in here was like admitting that my parents were dead, but I had no other choice than to face it.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Six months later
"All right, see tu at school!" I said, and hung up the phone. I did a much better job adapting here than in London. I finally felt happy. I got along with my aunt really well. I had friends, now.
I quickly stuffed my libros in my schoolbag, I told my aunt that I was going to school and left the house after telling her goodbye and hugging her. That día at school was quite normal. Nothing out of the ordinary happened and I was in a good mood all day. Soon, I came back home.
I had no idea if my aunt was inicial yet, so I tried to unlock the door without knocking, but the door was not locked. It was quite a surprising thing, but I ignored it for the moment. I walked along the dark corridor to the living room, which was right at the corridor's end. When I entered the room, my eyes gazed at one of the most horrific sights I have ever seen.
My aunt was sitting on the sofa, which was now bathed in blood. She had a cuchillo sticking out of her chest, her elegant suit also soaked in blood.
I screamed, and tried to ignore my panic while dialing to the police. After finishing the call, I ran out of the house and collapsed on the neat césped, hierba siguiente to sidewalk.
My aunt was dead... I had absolutely nobody left...
