so, here are a couple más old poems i dug up and decided to post. the first is one that came out of a period of intense creativity (ah if only i had the time nowadays). the segundo was a creative escritura assignment that i never got around to finishing, so i apologize if the end is a bit abrupt. once again, any feedback is greatly appreciated :).
stargazing
i dream in broad daylight
of an old front porch swing
where i sit cradling my guitar
canto tu a song
while your paintbrush splashes sunbeams
across my upturned face
paint drips
in arco iris rivulets
down your sun-kissed skin
your eyes are filled with laughter
and i'm a symphony of smiles
your body is a constellation
and every estrella is mine
see tu and me
we're painting poetry
one canvas
at a time
untitled
the other día tu called me
to tell me you're in amor
with a woman equally willing
to compromise her integrity
tu say she loves tu back
but i can see she only loves
the way tu make her feel
and its not going to be pretty
when tu factor yourself into the deal
now tu hide in the darkness
from people who might see your light
and tu cling to each other
with all your might

This is a short poem I wrote for my english class and just felt like sharing it.
My leaf clings to the tree,
It is new to life,
Pure green,
Feeling as soft as skin.
My leaf falls down,
Ageing,
Changing,
Dying.
My leaf lives on the ground,
Swept away por the wind,
Feeling crumpled like used paper.
My leaf is dead,
From green to brown,
Soft to crumpled,
Spring to autumn.
(We had to write about a leaf and I came up with this. So hope tu like. x)
please comentario this is my first articulo on this spot. I really enjoy writing.
