MissCinico I agree whole-heartedly, you're really good at placing the Myers-Briggs personality types, I had no idea about the sub-groups and whatnot, but I've always thought she's definitely feeling and judging, kind of implied extroversion more than overt extroversion (if that makes sense). I don't know much about the Se and the Ne, but to me she is more sensing, she relies more on past experience and conviction than jumping to a new idea, but I'm not sure. Great article! Glad to see more of these around.

I'm always touched when people remember what pathetic garbage i am for her and for PoE in general ENFJ is a solid choice, that's my typing for her too. But their function stack is wrong, and also I feel like they were leaning too hard on the events of the prologue to back up Miriam's Si. I mean, the past has [i]some[/i] influence on Miriam's perspective / decision making - no one ever completely relies on intuition for anything. But there's a much stronger case for Se, which makes her quick to react to her environment, as well as impulsive and blunt (I love her but the way she snaps off on Aaron is...not cool, I sort of have issues with the way she treats him in general so I never got the completely pure vibe off her that PL does. But anyway.) Ni makes more sense too imo. Miriam is very future-oriented - she sees the potential in people and in situations, with little solid evidence, long before others do, and she stakes [i]a lot[/i] on her intuition. That's actually where most of her clashing with Aaron comes from - him being a textbook ISFJ, he's so stuck on doing what's kept them safe so far (i.e., keeping your head down and your mouth shut). He isn't willing to gamble on possibilities, while Miriam totally is. I like the observation here and in that tumblr post that Miriam is probably capable of more Ti than she actually uses - there's this tendency in fandom to dumb her down into this naive sweet summer child but she absolutely knows what's up. Stopping to analyze the really awful circumstances she and her people are in, and what might go wrong when she acts out of line, sounds like a great way to get stuck in an inferior function grip, which she can't afford given the circumstances. AudreyFreak Thanks everyone! I'm glad people like mbti posts- I honestly didn't know if people would care, I don't know many other people who are as interested in it as me. I'm incredibly flattered by all the nice words though :D Adel- Tzipporah gets typed most often as an ESFP but frankly I just don't see her as extroverted. She's very private and only really seems to open up to others once she's given a reason to trust them a bit. ISFP to me. And I can't imagine Chel as anything other than ESTP- she's sneaky, conniving, loves finery, has a lot of charm and doesn't let morals or emotion get in the way of what she wants in life. UN- no problem! Miriam deserves a little attention. It would have been nice to have more screen time for her, especially so her Si/Ni could be a little more developed, but I found her pretty easy to write about. Most of this I didn't even have to look up- most of her lines always stuck with me. Btw, what do you think of Tzipporah as ISFP? I know everyone says Moses and maybe he is but ESFP makes sense too. s_nih I love MBTI! And Miriam is my favourite Non-Disney animated character, even if she is unfortunately only a minor character. I wholeheartedly agree with her being ENFJ, she seems way more intuitive than introverted sensing.

UnholyNoise @AudreyFreak: interesting, I felt like Miriam's Ni was one of the more obvious functions in her stack. The art book for PoE has some fantastic meta in it, and one of the things I read there was that, unlike the clearly God-driven stuff that happens later on (e.g. the plagues), Moses surviving the events of the prologue is meant to be vague - maybe it's God, maybe it's luck. But to Miriam it's unambiguously a [i]miracle[/i], and she spins this entire narrative from it where God saves her brother because he's finally done with seeing his people suffer, and when baby Moses gets grown he's going to come back aware of who he is and ready to lead all the Jews out of Egypt. She ends up being right, but still...that's a lot to read into a basket on the river. Sorting Tzipporah's trips me up too, honestly. Part of it is the rigidity of function stacks: if she's Fi-dominant then she must have these three other functions, and have them stacked in a certain order, even if they don't really work for her. But also the movie doesn't give Tzipporah the character shading or backstory it gives Moses and Rameses (or even Miriam and Aaron) - her motives and ambitions are really underdeveloped, so it's hard for me to sort out her more introverted functions. But yeah, probably ISFP? Tzipporah has some intense Se, but it takes a backseat to her Fi, her desire to live life by [i]her[/i] values and no one else's ("I don't belong to anyone"; that line about her never getting married, etc.) But on the other hand her Te seems stronger than her Ni, which is ESFP territory?? I'm thinking of her escape from the palace, which she organized and executed really well on the fly. And how she doesn't really seem to get the deeper philosophical / spiritual angle to Moses' mission (low Ni?) - Moses has to use the immediate, tangible example of her own family to make her understand why it's so important. And when Tzipporah does go with him, it's not really out of commitment to his cause; she's pretty much there just to back him up. Moses is...difficult, maybe because he's such a different person in the second half. Se for sure at least. And he seems solidly Fe to me - like, he knows which emotional buttons to push with Seti and Rameses, and a lot of his inner turmoil later on comes from not being able to harmonize all of these conflicting demands from the people he loves - mostly he just wants everyone to be happy. There's no strong sense of his inner values (Fi) and he seems pretty open to new ideas/influences (Ne). But of course there's no function stack that looks like that, so actually I'm totally lost tbh. I hope that helps :))
