I was thinking of this while watching the other día the Nostalgia Critic's review of the cisne Princess, and how critical and overly nitpicky he was in general towards this movie...
And that made me think how almost all non-Disney cine are treated in this way (of course, there are a few notable exceptions as the Studio Ghibli films and the Dreamworks ones), that audiences feel the need that if they are animated cine which aren't Disney, they must be held in an impossibly high standard and they must please every demand of the audience.
Why is that? Why is it that any animated non-Disney movie must be held to a pretentious standard? Why can't cine just be themselves and relax, if they want to be fairy tale musicales they can be, not every movie needs to be as "dramatic" as Secret of Nimh o the Prince of Egypt. (some of the few animated non-Disney films that the critics praise for once).
I don't get it. If disney repeats the same cliches, for many people it's all fine and dandy, but these cine must only be about dramatic and pretentious content in order to be appreciated.

I loved watching this movie when I was a little girl so when I finally found the dvd last año and bought it I was so happy! I felt like a child again when I was watching it because it brought back so many memories. I amor Judy Garland in this and the songs she sang in this especially Paris Is a Lonely Town and I amor how original the plot is unlike some animated cine we see these days with all the overdone plots. The reason why this movie isn't higher on my lista is because it kinda drags on during some parts of the film which makes me lose interest quickly
