I created Caitlin Black.
Darkness flooded the Azkaban prison. The prison was windowless. No sunlight was ever allowed to pass through the prison o fill the prisoners with hope. The stone colored walls made everything look dull and gloomy. Snow fell down on the prison adding to the en general, general outlook of the prison. It was a little over a week after navidad in the año of 1993. Caitlin Black was here to see her uncle and give him a few navidad present. She had been able to convince Albus Dumbledore to take her to the prison. She had explained the story of her uncle and how he got into Azkaban to Dumbledore. She used what she knew to tell the story and now she was in the cold dark prison. Events leading up to how her uncle got into the prison brought up dreadful and painful memories for her. One memory in particular was really bad and it had caused Caitlin a lot of pain and suffering over the years. She had been abused por the Dursleys for running out on them. She had two scars on her back because of them and it became a reason that she hated the Dursleys. She had seen and heard the story with her own eyes and ears and she had written the memories down into a leather bound journal.
She could feel the coldness of the Dementors sweep over her. She kept her head held high and the capucha, campana of her traveling capa over her head. She had her uncle’s presents in her hands and a blank and emotionless look on her face. Dumbledore had his hand resting on her shoulder as he kept up with her. She heard the cries and yells of the other prisoners wash over her in waves of terrible agony. She ignored the cries and yells. She allowed her mind to go back to the last time she had seen her uncle.
Flashback
It was the día of his arrest. Caitlin’s dark curly hair bounced as she watched what was going on with her uncle. She was sitting inside of a large and comfy café with the Dursleys and her cousin Harry Potter. Her brown eyes widen as she saw the calle being blasted por the guy who she had never liked. She ran outside of the café ignoring the yells of the Dursleys. She ran over to her uncle and grabbed onto him with her tiny hands. She held onto him tightly not wanting to let her uncle go and leave her. “Don’t leave me Uncle Sirius”, she begged. Her brown eyes were begging him not to leave her and Harry with the dreadful people that she didn‘t like. Tears started to come from her eyes at the expression that she saw on his face. He didn’t say anything all he did was pick her up and hold onto her. He whispered word of comfort into her ear and gently rubbed her back. A soft crack sounded through the calle as the Aurors from the Ministry of Magic came. They grabbed her uncle causing her to fall to the ground. She cried out in pain from the fall her eyes searched the faces of the Aurors. “Please don’t take him from me. He is innocent. He didn’t do anything bad. Please I beg of you. Don’t take him from me. He is the only real family I have left besides my cousin Harry”. She was literally begging. According to her uncle, her parents had died before she reached the age of one. She wasn’t lying about the things that she was saying. She was pretty much like her uncle on the subject of family. She was too young to realize the resemblance in personality between her uncle and her but one día she would. She was quite knowledgeable and advanced for her age. They looked at her as if she was of no importance to them. They could care less if her uncle wasn’t there with her. Although one of the Aurors had a look of concern but the rest just wanted to do their jobs and make it inicial all in one piece. They were just trying to do their jobs. They ignored her begging and instantly left with her uncle leaving her sitting on the broken ground hurt, crying, and alone. The footsteps of the Dursleys echoed behind her and they got louder as they came near her.
End of Flashback
She shivered at the thought of what pain that día had brought to her. She stopped walking once the Dementors lead her and Dumbledore to her uncle’s cell. She pulled the capucha, campana of her traveling capa down and shook her dark brown hair out of its hold. She looked just like her mother but she had the dark hair and skin of her father. “Uncle Sirius”, she whispered to him. She saw the shock that was written on the features of her uncle’s face and watched as he came closer to the bars of the cell. “Caitlin”, he questioned in a hoarse voice. “Yes it’s me. I brought tu a few navidad presents. I was able to get Dumbledore to take me here. I told him how tu got in here. I told him the truth. Now we just need to get dulce de azúcar, fudge to see the true side of the situation and then we can get tu out of here”, she whispered to him as she crouched down to the ground. Her eyes held so many emotions in them. She saw the realization dawn on her uncle of what she had done. “Caitlin I’m so proud of tu for doing that for me. Your mother would have been really proud of you”. She smiled at her uncle and handed him a picture of her, Harry, Ron Weasley, Ron’s rat, and Hermione. It had been taken at the end of her first year. The rata was perched on parte superior, arriba of Ron’s shoulder. She saw a mixed look grace the features of her uncle’s once handsome face. “You don’t like it? I have other presents on me if tu didn’t like the present that I just gave you”. “It’s not that. I like the present. It’s just that Peter is in the picture. He is on the boy’s shoulder”, Sirius dicho as he pointed a hand to Ron’s shoulder. “Are tu sure? That’s Ron’s rata Scabbers. The rata has been in Ron’s family for years which that makes no sense because rats usually don’t live that long unless of course they have magical abilities and Ron’s rata doesn’t have any abilities as far as I know and I-”. She stopped her rambling as a wave of realization came over her. “That isn’t a rata that’s Peter. He is near Harry”. Her body started shaking slightly at the thought of the traitor getting close to Harry. She had maintained her protection of Harry over the years and wasn’t going to let a rata hurt him. She managed to get her emotions under control as she handed her uncle the rest of his presents. She had gotten him a decent cena to eat, a foto album of her and Harry, and a crossword puzzle book which she had made sure the book had something to write with. His face held the emotion that Caitlin wanted to see from him. She stood up from the ground. “Caitlin I’m going to go see if the Minister will come and hear your case on your uncle Sirius”, Dumbledore dicho as he walked towards the front escritorio of the prison. She nodded and looked at her uncle with her dark brown eyes. “Did tu like your presents”, she asked. “Yes I did”. He started to eat the comida and she watched him with a smile on her face.
The Dementors were bringing a lot of painful memories back and Caitlin was trying to block out the few good memories that she had so that they wouldn’t be sucked out of her. She could hear her mother’s screams and pleas before her mother died. She could hear the way she pleaded with the Ministry officials to allow Sirius to go. She could hear the way her father cried after he found out that her mother had died. Most of those memories Caitlin could only remember part of. Her uncle looked at her with a concerned expression on his sunken face. “Caitlin are tu ok”, he asked her gently. “I’m fine. I’m just trying to get used to the Dementors. It feels like they are trying to suck all of my happiness out of me”. He nods understandingly. He wished he could’ve been there for her but he couldn’t because of the bars that separated them and because of what that traitor did that caused him to be in the prison. He wished that he could have raised her but he might just get the chance if the Minister was willing to take on the case and proclaim him free of all charges.
There was silence for what seemed like centuries. The familiar footsteps of Dumbledore reached Caitlin’s ears. Once Dumbledore stopped in front of her, she opened her mouth to ask him the pregunta that was going through her head. “Will he allow Sirius a trial?” “Yes he will. It will be in the morning. I told him the same story that tu told me. I didn’t mention that your uncle was an animagus.” He dicho the last sentence quietly but loud enough so that Caitlin and Sirius could hear. She grinned as she told her uncle that she would see him in the morning. She reached through the bars of his cell and gave him a hug. She then pulled back after a few minutos and stood up. She then started to walk off with Dumbledore ignoring the coldness of the Dementors. She pulled the capucha, campana of her capa over her head. She walked out of the prisoner’s cells and went back to Hogwarts with Dumbledore.
