your partner and your period

hola guys, I was asking me whether the partner should know when tu have your period. Okay, if tu have sex it's clear but what is if tu don't have sex yet.
Does your partner know when tu have your period?

If tu don't live together, then your partner probably doesn't know when you're on your period. Esp. if your partner is a guy.

On the other hand, I've been with the same guy for over 20 years, and generally he's oblivious.
