Eight's face was frozen in a state of panic and fear. Stern had gone limp now, he lay there on the cold dirt. Eight didn't have enough sense about him even to notice whether o not Stern was even breathing. He just stared for a moment. But he didn't have long before the giant oso, oso de was right behind him, signified por releasing a roar that shook Eight to his very core. His nerves each gained a heightened sense of feeling from the massive amount of adrenaline his corazón now pumped through his system. It was as though he could feel his skin from the inside, every mover he made was más sensitive, much akin to an extremity falling asleep, afterwards every nerve feels as pins and needles.
The oso, oso de roared once más and it took no time for Eight to dart to one side, he wasn't about to be caught por this thing. He gained más than 15 feet on the beast before he turned around, but the oso, oso de was clearly más interested in Stern. As it closed the few feet left between them, it roared once más and began to bare down on Stern's lifeless body. Eight knew he'd need to react quickly - if Stern weren't dead already, he would be very soon.
Without thought, Eight found himself propelling adelante, hacia adelante toward this monster and before he knew it, he was airborne toward the creature, landing a hard, clamping bite on its shoulder all the while, clawing and scratching, trying to make his way higher to the animal's colossal back.
The oso, oso de immediately turned its attention to his new attacker and quickly shook the lobo from his shoulders. Eight hit the ground hard and began to make distance between himself and his target as quickly as possible.
Again, he turned after about 15 feet. This time, he had the brute's full attention. Not only this, but now the oso, oso de was down on all fours and currently pressing adelante, hacia adelante toward Eight steadily.

Eight's mind raced, what was he to do? His eyes darted back and forth searching for possible routes around his aggressor, his corazón beat in his chest so hard that he could feel from his head to his tail.
'What??' He thought, 'What the HELL am I going to do?!'.
As soon as the thought crossed his mind, he recalled what Stern had told him, and in fact, how Stern called him over. He was supposed to howl!
And howl he did, His head shot up quickly and released the loudest howl he could muster, laden with the sound of urgency. And again he sent up an alarm, just for good measure.
The oso, oso de roared loudly in response and closed the few feet left between them. Eight darted around the side of the gargantuan creature, just as he did, a fury of claws and an arm the size of a árbol el maletero, tronco followed him, luckily he was making enough speed that the beasts paw only graced his backside as he passed. Just as before, he made distance and turned to face this grim visage of death. His attention turned to Stern, then back to the oso, oso de and he heard hope in the woods, behind the bear. It was distant, but it was hope none the less. Shade sent up a howl in response to Eight's own, he wasn't far off. All Eight needed to do now was bide time, and not get killed. With any luck, this would be easier done than said.
His muscles were tense, the mane on his neck stood frazzled. He tried to keep his mind straight, his feet fast and his senses keen as he waited for backup.
The oso, oso de once again bridge the gap between them, this time quicker than last - apparently becoming quite angry. Eight stood his ground for a moment, pushing adelante, hacia adelante to meet the bear. He caught him off guard and unprepared as he latched his jaws right down on the sizable arm of the bear, but only momentarily before he was thrown yet again.
Even with the 10 pack members here, Eight wasn't sure there would be a good way to take this beast down.
He picked himself up from the ground where he landed, feeling the beginning of bruising in his right flank. He was getting worn down, and was afraid to start. Much más of this, and he wouldn't be standing there anymore, much más of this and it would be all too easy for him to be torn to shreds. He couldn't help but lose hope, he didn't know many who would remain resolute in the face of such adversity and probable death.
He found his feet once more, and just as he did, noticed that the oso, oso de was wasting no time, it was already right on parte superior, arriba of him and baring down hard. Eight moved quick as he could to one side, but was glanced off por an open paw. It sent him reeling, disorienting him some as he spun one end past the other.
Another moment later, Eight faced the oso, oso de again, and again, the oso, oso de stood.
"Alright." Eight growled, becoming angry at the hits he had received, "I'm sick of dealing with this turd. COME ON, PANSY!!" he taunted the gigantic form before him. The oso, oso de responded with a roar, beginning to drop back down to all fours. Just as he did, a light brown bolt shot from the trees through the air and did what Eight had tried to accomplish before - it was Shade, and he rode atop the behemoth now, biting and nipping at sensitive areas where he could, ears, shoulders, and wherever on the giant's neck scruff he could.
Eight wasted no time lending assistance, while the oso, oso de was dazed por his new oppressor, Eight took the low road and went for its throat.
The oso, oso de tossed and jumped, swung and shook, trying to dismount his opponents from his lofty form.
It didn't take long to throw Eight once more, 10 feet o so where he landed, slightly softer this time, the bear's attention to his own actions clearly división, split between the two wolves. Another few seconds, and it caught Shade on the back with a claw swipe. Shade yelped and let go of what jaw full of pelaje, piel he had, falling to the ground. Before he could get up, Eight, taking no chances, charged yet again, just as he entered attack vicinity, he noticed another lobo bursting from the foliage, taking Shade's place upon the over-sized grizzly.
Eight's own body flew in yet again preforming a double front attack. Shade rose up with a growl, attacking again, this time at the hulk's flanks, tearing as hard as he could with his teeth.
With a massive roar and a fit of rage, the oso, oso de threw all three lobos simultaneously. Their efforts here only seemed to anger the beast. Each lobo quickly gained their footing and stared the oso, oso de down. He was bloody now, all over, they were really working him over but now he was not only very angry, he knew he was fighting for life. He knew he'd been backed into a corner, this was a dangerous place for the lobos now.
"Where's Stern?" One lobo asked loudly and hurriedly from the opposite side of the bear, Eight now identified that it was Dolph.
"He's hurt real bad!" Eight shouted back, between his heavy breaths.
"We need to end this..." Shade spoke up before shooting up another quick howl to anyone who may be in the area now, since the alerts went up.
"Copy THAT." Eight agreed, rushing the oso, oso de again. He wasn't even thinking anymore, he was only doing. His body acted with no permission from his thoughts, he responded on pure instinct now.
The other two joined him yet again. The three bit, jawed, scratched, clawed and tore at any place they could, everything seemed to be going in their favor.
Eight never saw the claw come down in his direction, he caught the brunt of it on his front left shoulder. He cried out in a yelp of pain as he flew back like the many times before, this time, it wasn't only the ground that concerned him. The pain in his shoulder was intense, the claws went deep.
Between the intense, sharp pain of his torn flesh, and the adrenaline, most of his brain's functions were being over-bombarded to notice much else. The world skipped from moment to moment, actions began to blur. He tried to stand, but winced in pain instead. If he didn't get up, the other two would surely suffer the same fate - though his sense of duty may not be enough to override his body and mind.
No sooner than he began to climb to all fours again, Ayame came from the forest, rushing the oso, oso de just as Shade was thrown off in Eight's direction. She took Shade's place, making sure that this leviathan could gain no favor in this fight. They kept him pinned down relatively well between their gnashing teeth and swiping claws.
Shade skidded into Eight, sending a shocking pain back through his shoulder as he bumped and knocked the lobo back to his side. Eight tried not to, he just couldn't help but whimper.
Shade used his small, wirey frame to his advantage, he was back to his feet before Eight even noticed. He looked back to Eight, inspecting him for a moment, his face carrying a grim frown.
"Are tu alright?" Shade asked.
"I'm well enough," Eight began his attempt to stand once again, grunting his way to his feet this time, "I just need to-"
"Stay put." Shade demanded before dashing back into the bear's side with a mighty head but.
The mammoth creature now carried a look of concern with him, and his mighty war cries began to change to más o a pleading, but he still fought with all his might.
Eight stood for a moment, limping in a pace as best he could, trying to find an opening, though the others had things almost completely under control. A third lobo emerged from the darkness of the woods, and took up a position at the bear's feet, following the lead of the others. Eight didn't recognize this newcomer to the fight, but it could have been the darkness they fought in, o the mess of motions coupled with his mind trying to stay focused. Eight still paced, moving adelante, hacia adelante until he was close enough for an attack, he let loose with a fury of growls and snaps, limping as he went along. He was in no shape to be clamoring onto this titan, but he could still keep the pressure on.
The fight seemed to last an eternity before the oso, oso de stopped fighting completely and began trying to make an escape. He was shredded very thoroughly too, bleeding profusely as well. The pack had done a number on him. Eight didn't give chase, but Dolph and The unknown lobo did. The three dissipated from sight into the thick underbrush, and then from sound.
Eight limped around for a moment, the other two watched the forest for barely a segundo before turning to him.
"I told tu to stay put.". Shade demanded. Eight wasn't sure if he was out of line o not, demanding things of him, considering his rank of Delta.
"I couldn't just sit idle while the situation demanded action." Eight stood now to explain himself, forcing all pain from his mind.
"That was dangerous for you." Shade lectured for a moment. He was stark about what he said, but it was out of concern. "Thank tu though." He added. "Are tu alright?" he asked, inspecting Eight's wound, Eight winced at his touch and shifted focus.
"I'll be fine, We should tend to Stern. He got the worst of it."
The lobo stared back at Eight for a moment, inspecting his gaze now before moving past him to their leader.
Ayame stayed behind.
"Don't fidgit." She said, getting a closer look at Eight's shoulder. Again, Eight winced. "This wont' heal up anytime soon. There's nothing we can do about it right now, just favor this leg as much as tu can."
Eight nodded and reassured her, "I'll be fine, I'm sure." Though the words didn't reassure himself any at all.
"Maybe so. But these are deep, there's some major tissue damage, you'll need to be off of it for a few days at least just to make sure." The two stood there as she inspected it further, trying to be ginger with it. "Y'know, you're lucky. If your build was any smaller... If this happened to someone like Myself o Shade, we'd be dead."
"What about Stern?" Eight inquired, this realization coming to light.

"Ayame." Shade called over for her, she obliged him, as did Eight.
They walked over to where Stern had laid.
"He's breathing, but it looks like his ribs were crushed." Shade said, grim look upon his face. "We need to get him back to the den. Now. Go find the others, bring back lashings. Eight, you'll stay here with him. Keep your eyes open though."

Eight nodded. Who was he to argue, these lobos knew what they were doing regardless of the rank difference. He let them do what they knew they needed to, He wouldn't be any good to them anyway.

Eight sat there, accompanying Stern. There may have been bad blood between the two, but Eight would never wish such a thing to happen to him. He felt a great swell of pity for the unconscious wolf.
Silence passed, the sounds of the night disappeared when the fight began and hadn't returned. The night air was still and cold. Eight could see his breath. It was as though death was visiting the woods that evening. Perhaps he wouldn't find what he was looking for.
The others returned and quickly fashioned a sled to pull Stern on. They hitched up, and positioned the blacked out lobo onto it. Eight helped where he could, but each of them pulled together to expedite the process. Shade gave orders once more,
"We'll alternate here, but I want one person to stay with Eight as well, due to his own condition. Seems to think he's a toughie, but he needs looking after, plain and simple."
"There's not far to go, but we need to take it slower til we get to a define path." Ayame offered. "After that, Dolph and I can take him quickly the rest of the way."
Shade nodded, "Alright. Felan, tu stay with Eight til you're needed." He spoke to the other wolf, "We appreciate your help, quite noble of an Omega. We'll see to it that you're compensated as soon as we can."
"Thanks." The lobo said, in a somber, quiet voice.

Shade looked to each member, who stood in silence and looked back.
"Alright. Lets go."

As Hutch peeked out of the office to make sure no one was looking, the only person that was out was Austin nailing some boards to the big window of Wal-mart as he was nailing the board the nail came out and the board slammed on his paw Austin:" OW son of a fuck" Hutch went up to him and said:"you ok?"
