misceláneo Should cheating become más accepted? (NOT cheating on your spouse o whatnot, but as in cheating on a test, cheating when doing homework, etc.)

TBH tests don't measure intelligence anyhow; they measure one's ability to memorize things only to forget them later on because you overload them and stress them out. Not everyone's a good test taker and then there are people like myself who suck at tests for the sole fact that they put a time limit on them. I like to take my time and work through the problems as opposed to rushing through them so I don't run out of time leaving them half unanswered.

How does this relate to the poll? Because I don't think traditional paper/pencil testing is fair to begin with so I don't blame people for cheating on them. Why does it matter if they cheat since odds are most people just memorize the answers only to forget them anyhow.
I personally don't like to cheat. But I ain't gonna hold it against anyone for doing so because testing is just stressful and taxing.

^ agreed.

I think the problem is the public education system. Change the system that values grades above actual learning.

I can see why someone would do it and it is really tempting, but it's not fair for the people who studied hard and do know their stuff.

Regardless of whether or not you think tests are an accurate measure of intelligence is irrelevant. Cheating should not be acceptable. What's the point then? It negates the whole system and isn't fair to those who are legitimately good at tests. Making it acceptable also encourages dishonest behaviour in general.
Like tamore said it's the education system that's flawed. Change is what's needed not cheating.

@tamore You exactly pinpointed what peeves me about it. I would actually love school and learning if it wasn't done for a grade. I'd love learning if it didn't cause me so much stress. Take away the grading system and I'd totally continue to attend school because I want to learn...however I don't want to be judged and hindered based on how much I can retain or moreover how fast I can bubble in a sheet of paper.
